Is this site better on TOR?

You can tell who didn't make it past the Tor barrier if their last activity was before May 5th. But unfortunately some posters I like such as @Aunt Carol didn't make it through. And posters like @Peace and Harmony were basically keeping the Brianna Wu thread alive by being the only one who would bother updating it with content.

Bit of both. Good to be back up and i like the idea of getting a strong user base able and willing to access via Tor. BUT I think this site should be on clear net as well, because it is then visible to normal people who browse and that important. The threat of having regular people see their misdeeds is what keeps a lot in check.
Maybe Josh is trying to get a base of people who can be happy using Tor and then using this as a strong Keep, for the time when the outer walls get overrun by troons again. While we chuck the boiling oil and shore up the defences we have a cosy Tor to sit in.

Positives: Less lurkers and low effort posters
Negatives: Tor is slower and doesn't load external links, images and videos well. It also become annoying to manually log in every time you access the site.

I still like it. Most of the slowdown is because there’s fewer retards to clog up threads with the hottest takes in order to secure as many updoots as possible. It’s nice to read something interesting without 100 pages of spam afterwards farming the right kind of internet stickers.

My interests here are to laugh at lolcows and occasionally bloviate about politics. I’m not here to want to change the world (not gonna happen) nor evangelize my views. So I understand why some people prefer clearnet if that’s their goals.

Regarding posters being gone, most of my favorites stopped coming here after the board was down for several weeks last fall. I’ve had an easy time coming here and I’m a phonefag. The directions are pretty easy and I’m often on in a matter of 15 seconds at most.

I may be a fucking retard, but it seems to me that Tor over Brave browser on windows 7 got nuked a little while back. I have not been able to connect to Tor at all on my win 7 box. WinX works fine though.

I'm having to use full Tor browser to connect (on Win7).

Does anyone have Tor working over Brave on Win7? I know they have officially stopped supporting it on Win7 (Brave).

Biggest complaint I have is that Tor browser on my phone keeps makes giving posts the correct reaction very very very difficult. Pressing and holding and then choosing a react is how you're supposed to do it, but now a split second after the reaction selection comes up, a new window asking me if I want to download or copy the link to the reaction button pops up and closes the reaction menu, automatically dropping a like.

Not the end of the world but annoying.

Being mostly a mobilefag means I can give put far fewer stickers unless I'm on a PC, but I mostly lurk anywho so it's cozy for me.

It's good to know that somebody cared.

Now that we're back on TOR I see that a lot of new accounts that were complete shitheads are gone.

So, an improvement.

No. For me, Tor is painfully slow. I can barely load avatars, let alone pics and videos. I've tried a million different circuits, and they're all equally slow. I'm jealous of the people who have decent speeds.
I know this is old however this is due to TOR being a slow old piece of shit, i have 1GB internet and it loads like that for me. TOR always sucked anyway.

In terms of using it, TOR is worse. It's slow as shit, which makes it hell trying to playback videos or load images. It's also pretty inconvenient trying to sign in every time I want to browse this site with it (though it does prevent me from forgetting my login information so maybe that's a plus).

I guess some positives of it though are that you don't have issue of it spazzing out when some troon decides to DDOS the main site every now and then, but TOR is already slow so it probably wouldn't be that much different. Oh and I guess it also filters retards from visiting the site so that's good too.
