I think people take these books way more seriously than JK Rowling does. It's never been about the food. People didn't really care that McDonalds or other food franchises made people fat, just that they made money out of it because they hated corporatism and how these people held any power (especially monetary power) in America.

It doesn't matter if McDonalds or KFC or Wendys or anyone has killed more people than Mao (not that SJWs care about all the deaths caused by Mao), it matters that they post the Rainbow Flag every June each year. That makes them good and virtuous and that's why they love them instead of those Chick-fil-A biggots who hate gays.

Same way, I'm starting to believe these people never cared about the plot of Harry Potter. The first generation of readers maybe did, but SJWs didn't. They only cared how much they could project themselves into these books. Like, they saw a character such as Lupin, who's charismatic, smart, compassionate, and well beloved by his friends, and said "he's an allegory for being gay, and I'm gay, so we're exactly the same! I stan!".
