This. Rowling had the credibility that she could go to just about any serious scholar of historical magic and be taken seriously.

I'd wonder why the American school would be based on Native American traditions, though.

It would probably be based on a mix of British and Native American tradition. I guess she should have hired some natives and some white American historians to give their input. The blacks might have brought over some magic too, kind of like how they brought over the Yoruba religion and created Santeria. There's no way to address America's history of slavery without pissing off someone, though, so maybe she should have just ignored the blacks lol.

I know I'm spreading Death Eater propaganda and that makes me a Nazi by today's standards but it was disappointing that Harry was so pro-muggle after all the abuse he got from his relatives. Maybe he lacked brain power from being starved as a kid but he never learned any Dark stuff and thought he could defeat Voldemort with light magic and the power of friendship. And sure, he won but only becuase he was the protagonist and Voldemort fucked up creating that many Horcruxes, the Potter runt on his own was nowhere near a worthy opponent.

(I'm going to stop sperging about it, though. I don't even remember half this shit to keep trashing the thread.)

Apparently the house that has a deserved reputation as being full of slur-flinging, hateful blood-supremacists is secretly the woke one while the house that the main character is in which is known for accepting anyone as long as they were brave and honorable is actually the bad and fascist one.

Also lmao @ the second comment implying that being courageous and chivalrous is a bad thing and that only conservatives have those traits. At least he admits that his side is nothing but a bunch of cowards who hate common politeness and don't truly respect women.

Salazar Slytherin was right too. Any kid with a muggle relative who, by any chance, opens their mouth and reveals the existence of Howarts to some bigot could put them all in danger, especially young wizards who still didn't know how to fight back.

You're right that certain muggles couldn't handle to feel inferior, but I'm sure that also would be a lot of the wizards's own fault because it's quite obvious that many of them DO feel superior to muggles, even if they don't go around actively asking to kill them all. I remember an interview when JKR was asked if Harry had ever used the Internet and she answered he did, but probably bored him because magic was more entertaining... ok, then tell me Jo how is that I can only type "Nicolas Flamel" or "Philosopher Stone" to know who he is while Harry needed a full year to find out his identity and that was only because Hermione was lucky?

There's a spell that wipes memories and the Minister of Magic is in communication with the muggle prime minister (who knows wizards exist) so it seems like the wizards have muggles in the muggle government that they could use for information on anyone trying to spill the beans.

On top of this, there are spells on magical buildings that cause them to appear as run-down and abandoned (or simply not exist) to muggles.

There is a lot of conservative mindset in the wizarding world, this is not surprise, and it's kinda the reason why many SJW fans of HP are supportive of preserving indigenous cultures (except white ones): they see it as some sort of magical secret that must be preserved from the evil mugg--- I mean, white people.

I'm not blaming JKR for that mindset, but HP is partially responsible for how many SJWs are in the way they are.

In the same way, HP teach readers to be accepting of foreigners because they're innocent people who just want to be part of the magic (muggle-borns). The irony here is that these muggle-borns abandon their whole life and leave it behind once they join Hogwarts. Immigrants in UK don't do that.

There is a lot of good things about HP, but there is also a lot of bad things. In the new movies, you can see how they portray American wizards are progressive for having a black woman as their leader, but yet, the British guy seems to feel a bit of contempt over them because how they treat no-mags. These are details that, discussed by adults, can lead to good cnoclussions about the nature of people, but the target is young people who only ended up tribalized by the themes and subjects.

That's a good point, but your post reminded me of something else. Notice how nobody thinks of themselves as "the muggless"

Potter fans, but especially the SJWs are always talking about which house they would belong and such. But truth is, we aren't the wizards. Wanna know which house they would belong to? None, because We ARE the muggles.

So, why I'm saying such an obvious thing?

Just to showcase how childish SJW mindset is, Yes they do know it's fiction. But, also, in their minds, they are these special wizards, and everyone that disagrees might as well be a death eater.

I get how people are trying to make it seem like Voldemort was right, and I won't debate that, but it's obvious Rowling only intended him to be a one-dimensional villain, so any depth you can find wasn't intended at all. And that's how they see it aswell.

Because Alan Rickman played him. That's about it tbh, since in the books he's described as being greasy, bearded, with disgusting yellow teeth and a hooked nose. Not a very attractive man.
