Didn't the last movie have weird shit like Voldemort owning a black woman as a slave and the villain trying to stop the Holocaust (which is bad because wizards keeping magic a secret is more important than 6 million Muggles going up the chimney). I never saw it, I just heard there were some "interesting" things in it.

yep. this next one will be slightly better plot wise, but will fuck whats left of the HP canon hard, this will be the biggest example of any media product going full retard on retcons to justify a plot, not in terms of notoriety but how often and how absurd it bulldozes it, it'll make TLJ look like ROTJ in terms of canon fucking.

It's worse than that.

You have this characters called Queenie, a sexy American witch who's fallen in love with a Muggle, something that is banned in America. To be together, she's used magic to keep him around her and marry him. Enter Grindelwald who, besides talking about the upcoming war, has promised that she can keep her muggle if she wants to. And yes, she joins Wizard Hitler because love.

They also added another Dumbledore brother that nobody knew about ever before. ANd some complicated plot about switching babies and children... It's very strange.

It's like this woman can't get herself straight on one issue, only to then be ironclad integrity over what she's been consistent on (old school feminism).

I think what gets me is how, unlike many of her peers, she actually has some shred of integrity and won't just suddenly sell out her long time principles for some extra (non-existent) sales. I think that's part of why a large number of them have grown to dislike her. She actually has a spine (for now), still gets royalties (because of her contracts), and that she's more than rich enough to not care about any backlash (and those who do try anything will be unquestionably arrested by British authorities).

Kind of like a normal person. Only, many, many, many people have apparently forgotten how to be like that.

JKR is a normal person. She has her facepalm moments, but who doesn't. I genuinely believe that she never wanted much attention from Harry Potter, and she definitely thinks for herself and doesn't immediately bow to the masses at the very least. The backlash she gets comes from people overidentifying with her books and thinking she is some righteous woke woman with proper progressive views that change as a function of what is trendy. She literally said on twitter what 80%+ of the population actually thinks ("why TF are we using terms like "people who menstruate" FFS").

The hate she gets is a product of social media echo chamber. Progressives are more active in social media than in real life, and that creates the illusion of the world agreeing with their views because media gets their information from social media. Any progressive outlet can run an article saying how she got owned by trans activists, and you see that these trans activists only called her a hag on twitter. That's not, at all, representative of what normal people think. Normal people don't read progressive outlets either.

What's ironic is that JKR does read them. That's how she probably found out about Pewdiepie to call him a Nazi. She's smarter than your average progressive lunatic, I hope she at least learned the lesson.

The backlash was also extremely pronounced because Harry Potter is the retarded progressive's literary work of choice. So having the golden cow author to the book series they base their entire morality off of have a 'not okay' opinion caused them all to have a short-circuit in their brains.

It's usually in the Top 3 of what lazy parents choose to send their kids off in after Disney Princesses/Marvel Superheroes and Footballers (seriously)

Ironic that the kids who played losers, and were probably something of losers in real life because that's how you cast young people, are now the most well-adjusted. Well I've seen Emma Watson's acting and her tits and I'm not impressed by either.

Rowling should write a post-Hogwarts "sidekicks" novel where Luna, Ron, and Neville team up to solve the mystery of the Graptuous Gump or whatever-the-fuck. "If they make a movie out of it they'll have to cast you, I won't ink the deal unless they agree." Come on Rowling, be a bro. Rupert Grint is old enough to have a kid in Hogwarts, you could use it to start a new set of stories and give careers to half a dozen gingers.
