I think the only kind of ending that would work at this point would be a surprise twist where the Nerd finds what he considers to be the greatest game of all time, and he walks off with that game in hand into the sunset. Something modern would add to the unexpected twist, though there's just not a lot I can think of that'd work. Like, Yakuza, Devil May Cry, Hi-Fi Rush, or something.

Don't get me wrong, I like his reviews, but I know they're not good lol. It is laid back, it's like hearing a friend tell you about a movie. He tends to not rewatch things he is reviewing even if he saw it a long time ago and thus mix things up or get them wrong, throw in a whole lot of "I don't remembers" etc, it's just unprofessional. This was very apparent in the movie review show he had with the slobs last year. He never prepared and just wanted to give his views off the cuff.

And it kind of felt like there was some thought about it being like a finale of his (not sure ofc. but i feel it's possible he was going to end it and just try to go the Podcast route afterwards but the Monster Madness blunder and Podcast fiasco maybe he got second thoughts?)
I looked it up. Apparently, "FGT" stands for freight. Meaning that the full title of the game would be "Gravitational Force Freight." What a shitload of fuck. Classic joke though, one of the best AVGN episodes hands down. I remember finding that TV censorship joke weird and out of place though.
He was definately edgier back in the day. I remember finding the original Roger Rabbit video kind of shocking because he was threatening Jessica Rabbit's life ("you bunny fucking bitch, I'm gonna kill you"). Apparently, there was a lot more of that kind of humor in that episode that was lost. Something about a Jesus Christ punching bag.

Yeah. He really does seem like a genuinely nice guy. Apparently, according the Truther SubReddit, he treated some of his old friends poorly. But everyone else seems to really like him. His only problem really is that he doesn't seem to care about his videos anymore and just views it as a job.
James would never top the masterful JonTron review. Easily one of his top 5 videos. The best. Like you wouldn't believe.
Hell, I picked those because I figure they'd be the most palatable things in modern gaming for him. They're the closest you can get to modern day beat-em-ups.
I forgot about those guys. They aren't really all that interesting, the only reason anyone knows they exist is because they're one of the few channels that focuses on criticizing James.
One of the guys there, Frankie, is like a James-lite. As in, he also makes low budget movies and made stupid shit as a kid. So, it's interesting to hear his perspective on James's shenanigans.
I watch their Cinemassacre content. Everything else they make is the very definition of mid. They're basically James if James knew what he was doing. So their perspective is interesting. They also do a decent job of summarizing the gist of what goes on that Subreddit. So I'd recommend throwing it on in the background while you do something else.

He is now going full sperg responding to every piece of criticism about him, even down to stupid things like writing which he could just easily say is done by a team instead of sperging out about how it's all him and everyone else is totally just slightly helping.
Maybe he is but in a very minor way, he's still leagues above people like Gunt and DSP. He's still an objective success compared so many in the angry gamers critic sphere, has a wife and kids, he has genuine talent compared to so many other degenerates here. Maybe he is a cow but its still very minor.
