It honestly looks pretty good but Screenwave is being dodgy in showing off the game and it's release is looming for early 2025 I think. But beyond that, they're also involved with the new Blu-ray for the Toxic Crusaders cartoon. The big controversy is that they're using ai to upscale it and it doesn't look too bad but I'm a little indifferent because I never liked the cartoon (the toys were better).

I remember trying to watch this cartoon (not during original broadcast but later on DVD I think) and the version I found had an intro by.... I can't remember his name, the dude who was in the AVGN episodes about the games based on the cartoon....

And he did an intro to the cartoon but it was the same sort of cheap "we did it for the money because we saw what others were doing!" type of humor and it just made me lose interest in other Troma productions.

Which is sad as I recalled that old guy being kinda funny in that AVGN episode.

if you were making videos for fun with a group of friends he'd be ok as the fifth or sixth person-- like "ok let's act out humorous scenes from our d&d game in the woods behind my house" -- but he REALLY doesn't need to be featured in anything let alone on a legendary youtube channel.

There's definitely something "off" about their relationship. They had a short-lived music podcast where James talks about the same bands as usual (ACDC, Sabbath, Ozzy, Rob Zombie, etc) with his wife. I can't find the videos now and wish I archived but I'll let more dedicated spergs take credit for that. But they had a weird kind of chemistry where you would never guess they were husband and wife let alone lovers. You get the sense that James is used to calling her ma'am and she rewards him with vidya and cookies. I'm not even joking, it's really like he's addressing her like she's his school teacher.

They could've done that dramatic shot of the Nerd and the Gremlin suiting up and walking towards the camera with a real set easily. It's not hard to find an empty lot to film in. The shitty greenscreen is only endearing in short bursts, not for the entire video.
