I think Ross was concerned about it early on and always had a personal goal of 1.2 million, but I don't have a source on thatEven Ross thinks a good amount of these are botted. I thought the people posting worried about bots (myself included) were being paranoid but it seems like it's a real thing.
That's why the goal needs to be 2 million. Is anyone of you worried about the (purposefully) fake or fraudulent signatures?
In fact, it is a dastardly way to screw with this system.
Never mind the fact that most people don't have millions of randoms in their parties anyways. Sure you may meet party members that way but on a dead game it's probably just you and people you met there or on another site anyways. He is really hung up on the "why would you play these games without 1000's of faggots running around on the same server?" idea.
He can't comprehend that maybe a few friends just want to get together one day and play some old game they used to play even if it is long dead.
I'm pretty sure I used to play on custom servers on Battlefield 3 on PS3 back in the day, as I clearly remember their overly specific names mentioning game mode, respawn rules etc. while in Battlefield Bad Company 2 (earlier in the series) you'd just pick a game mode and you wouldn't even know the server.
I'm not sure if that was just EA renting customizable servers to players, while they still retained ownership/control of the backend code and server admin could just modify a few things, though
Good.wow i cant believe every mmo just suddenly exploded and also its illegal to make and sell them now
Pardon the thread tourist question, but how legally binding is this? Is it like an online referendum, or just an EU-acknolwedged Change.org petition? This isn't over until the deadline.
Tbf, I swear at least one or two of them did mention they signed the petition back when it was new but the fact it took something like this kind of drama to bring it to the forefront of everyone's attention should serve as a reminder of how the average person's mind actually works. At the very least it also served as extra motivation for anyone who already agreed with the intent of the initiative so that they could get back at Mald for his insolence and make him seethe just by doing what they already intended to do.It is somewhat disappointing that none of the mainstream khantent creators would've even mentioned this if it weren't for Maldavius Nigtree sperging about it.
I hate to give him any credit and he shouldn't be given any - I'm just saying this to point out how objectively terrible khantent creators are nowadays. All they really do is talk about Hasan Piker, that Jewish h3h3 nigger and anisas husband.
As long as theres enough of a buffer for the fake (or as ross talks about ones with errors in them) signatures, I think it will be fine. the petition has 28 days to go and while I'm sure it will slow down after it hit the big 1 mill, I have faith that it will still have enough. plus with ross saying there can be legal consequences that will probably disenfranchise people doing it. people wont want to get Euro-feds on their ass because they wanted to "own someone on the internet".Is anyone of you worried about the (purposefully) fake or fraudulent signatures?

slight vidya spergery but even from an artistic standpoint mald bringing up FFXIV is a retarded idea because not only does it pull from the past of the franchise, but it paved the way for the future of final fantasy with that team eventually taking on the development of FF 16.Even if FFXIV was unfriendly to solo play. If you were able to host your own server or offline sessions, you would be able to mod the game to make it solo friendly.
This is something private servers allready do anyway.

I agree. Like with many other cows, the thing that makes them a cow is their complete unwillingness to learn from their mistakes, take advice from others, or grow in any meaningful way. While that is all fine and good but after a certain point you no longer get this excuse. He has had plenty of time to get over his problems and identify his weaknesses and address them like the rest of us. But no he got handed everything on a platter even his fucking job so he never had to grow or adapt and now that he's finally without a shield it really fucking shows. He has been able to spend his entire life doubling down and since he is the boss's son no one could call him on it.
tl;dr he's an egotistical nigger who, regardless of his upbringing, should know how to have some fucking humility at this point.
Including any other dual citizen in Asia, Australia and new Zealand, etc. EU has given fast pass to citizenship in certain countriesDaily reminder that 'muricans with dual citizenship (German, Italian, etc) can sign.

its not a law, but the EU initiative REQUIRES the EU to respond, and debate the topic. as good as it getsPardon the thread tourist question, but how legally binding is this? Is it like an online referendum, or just an EU-acknolwedged Change.org petition?
Hello retard.FUCK YEAH I can't wait for unelected literal communists and pedophiles to further restrict the market killing even more of what little is left of the european tech market because it will make some literal nobody faggot online mad.
Atleast it will be funny watching the EU as it keeps sliding more into irrelevancy on every single field on the global stage (only if I wasn't living in this fucking hellhole).
An ECI is like a mandatory shareholder proposal for the citizens of the EU. A sufficient number of shareholders can force an issue onto the agenda of a company's annual board meeting. The board is legally required to address the proposal and formally respond to it, but they are not required to vote 'yes' on it.Is it like an online referendum
Pretty much if 1.000.000 signatures are reached, the EU parliament has to discuss it to see if it would be something that could be considered for european lawPardon the thread tourist question, but how legally binding is this? Is it like an online referendum, or just an EU-acknolwedged Change.org petition?
Ross goes over it in more detail in the "I give up" video, but a European Citizens' Initiative isn't a petition. If it hits a million legitimate signatures, the commission has to grant you an audience and officially consider the initiative. Where it goes from there we'll find out, but it can't be ignored in the same way a change.org petition can.Pardon the thread tourist question, but how legally binding is this? Is it like an online referendum, or just an EU-acknolwedged Change.org petition?
