Yea I edited my reply to some what answer that but I think in what we’re told and shown, yes those weirdos did do all the things that the originals did. Again I agree Araki didn’t make a lot of things clear, and honestly I’m just going by what seems the more likely to have happened.

No everything that happened before still happened. All that didn’t happen is Pucci himself, that’s the whole point of his death at the end. He is no longer there to finish what Dio started, meaning Dio still does everything he does even the things that have to do with Made in Heaven but since his killed in Part 3 and the journal is destroyed, without Pucci being a thing anymore it means it all ends there. So part 4 and 5 still happens unchanged.

Now your opinion on Pucci is just your own feelings and there’s nothing I can say on that. Maybe you just don’t like that part of jojo and what comes after. Guess what you don’t have to keep reading or watching it if you don’t like it. Nothing about it doesn’t make sense, it’s not that hard to believe that Dio met some fag who became overly homo attracted to the point that he would want to finish what his boyfriend started. It’s just something you can’t seem to accept, and honestly that’s fair and your allowed to have those feelings. I just don’t think it’s something that doesn’t make sense in the world Araki has created. Like I mean every part other 3 is basically a “well this also happened while this stuff was going on”.

Edit: the stand ins in the initial recent are the people that would’ve replaced those characters if Pucci had completed his full cycle of Made in Heaven. If you die during the acceleration you are gone for ever. So when Made in Heaven was stopped before it completed all it did was erase Pucci instead. So those people that you see only existed if Made in Heaven completed but it didn’t so
The universe was restarted with everything happening as normal up to a few things like Dio never meeting Pucci and Dios plans ending at the end of part 3. It makes sense when you read it a thousand times and watch videos. Because I’ll agree that I don’t think Araki made it clear enough in the chapters themselves what happened.
I just mean Pucci’s role. Literally every other homo, no matter how non-combat oriented had to go fight for him. He feels superfluous because Jotaro in parts 4 and 5 isn’t taking over for Joseph in being the Speed Wagon Foundation errand boy, he checks in on Josuke as a favor to Joseph and Giorno because one of the only loose ends.
The only Joestar Curse being broken is the point of part 2 and 3.

Also, I understand Pucci getting wiped from existence. My question is on the 1st reset, if Jotaro no longer exists does that mean the events of Stardust crusaders never happen? Joseph just gets killed in his third plane crash? Pucci gets wiped out when he accelerates time to kill Emperio and dies while Made in Heaven is active.
Or is the first reset have DIO die to some random asshole with a knock-off Star Platnium.

Without being Araki myself and going by everything we are told and seen, yes those people should have done everything that the regular Jotaro did. But again I don’t know but I also believe Pucci states that everything still happened as it did before.

Also it’s because everyone in Jojo is gay so they all have the hots for Pucci so they will fight for their brown lover.

I think he means the first reset, with the Not-Jotaro. Did this random guy kick DIO's ass or is DIO alive in this timeline? It doesn't ultimately matter but STILL.
It raises further questions for me because Made In Heaven and Pucci’s goals are just kind of retarded. I dislike Pucci being directly connected to DIO narrative-wise.

Having him be the only DIO worshipper without a Fleshbud contingency just felt tacked on. I know Araki forgets, but DIO and his gaggle of faggots being the primary antagonists felt like when Gundam brings back Zeon.

Because he was the only follower that he actually trusted fully. Even DIO can have actual faith in a person. Araki forgets is a tired meme and most of the instances with it have been proven wrong thoroughly.

It feels out-of-character and I think it was stupid to have a DIO follower as a villain when Pucci would of been better without the direct relationship with DIO.

I saw Volume 1 of Jojolands available at Kinokuniya today.

They're both going to win in 2024?

The Guacamole will be plentiful as will the bishonen twinks.

Since this thread has been bumped up, its been a year since JOJOlands started, and its pretty good so far. Obviously will take awhile to go into high gear since the beginning of Jojo parts tend to be a lot of setup or slow, but I enjoy the cast so far.

Jojolion was good at the start too but I feel like this is going to be the final part and Araki is going cook some shit.

The MOMENT Part 7 gets adapted
the votes will be in Johnnys Favor
mark my words.
I think it will be a close fight. Joseph is super popular and has a lot going for him as a JoJo to this day. I think it will come down to how many people like a protagonist who is fun and cool and a protagonist who is serious and driven.

I feel Joseph is high because of more memes and some people stopped after Part 2.
He's also got a lot of good moments in part 3 as one of the main crew and part 4 as a side guy who's kinda in the main crew for a bit. Really funny shit in part 4 where they just assume he's senile half the time despite the opposite being true when you actually observe his actions. Guy was around for 3 whole fucking parts it's kinda something else.

Yeah its kinda funny how he was faking it in Part 4, or I think he recovered by the point he got Shizuka.

Joseph is great and all, but I do think he's far from the best Jojo. But he was good for basically setting the stage for the Jojo's to be more wacky whereas Johnathon established them all to be good (unless Jodio does some batshit things)

I know I'm late as shit to the party, but did anyone else feel like the complete lack of men in stone ocean was off-putting?

I know it's a meme that it's a gay anime but, you honestly don't notice the fact that you miss the men until they are truly not there - I didn't even dislike Jolyne, it's just an honest to god unexplainable feeling, as I lack the words for it, that there not being men there feels like something is wrong.
