He's a volcano. We're seeing several small eruptions while he lets off steam... but we all know the big one is on the horizon when he finally cracks. After seeing those tweets I wonder if the shit lava is getting dangerously close to the surface.

Yaniv doesn’t have consistent employment (slinging shot samples at the Mills may even be terminado), and is unquestionably desperate for money.... And yet his housing is very nice. He recently acquired a new car. He never seems to be short of money to go out to eat, etc.

How? Is welfare that lucrative in B.C.?

Welfare in NB might get you $400/month and a coupon to a 5 year waiting list for subsidized housing in the crappiest part of whatever city you’re in. Maybe they’ll throw in some milk vouchers (yes, really). But otherwise you’ve got to live off of that $400. I know because I used to work with folks down at the homeless shelter, applying for benefits. They’d be LUCKY to see $500/month, and that would be if they had a disability of some sort or were of senior age.

We've assumed selling the family home after Yitzhak died - and possibly a life insurance pay out - gave Miriam and Jonathan a nice bit of cash to put down on the condos and that Yitzhak may have set up an annuity for Miriam and maybe one for Jonathan as well, but we have no evidence for you.

Addition: Miriam's parents, Bernnard and Hanna Altmann, don't look to have been wealthy, but perhaps they had something to bequeath to Miriam and Ilana - and Jonathan as their only grandchild, as well.

In AB disability pension (AISH) ends up at about $1100. Other combinations of benefits don't exceed that range. BC kiwis communicated similar thresholds. EI gets you just under $500 a week, if you were in the maximum earning bracket for about a year full time prior.

Leading theories on JY are that his father's inheritance has paid for his housing and his mother's. She likely gets disability benefits and some pension, having worked as a health care admin/receptionist. It is unclear what daddy Yaniv did for work, i enjoy the theory that he was a grifter and taught JY the trade.

JY would then be in a position of only having to cover expenses, and his tastes are pretty low rent.

I think his greed is more about winning against others, and I think his desire to find and keep employment is more social or something his lawyer told him would make him look like a real boy.

Seems likely to me that the 20 years Miriam says she worked as a nursing unit clerk were in Israel before she married Yitzak and emigrated. It appears he's starting to lose it again after being outed on Twitter by @langleyresident for being arrested on Friday morning- something he's likely ashamed of and isn't entirely wanting "global", but is now "new news".

I am not sure what the charges were like the rest of us, but I suspect it was over the whole Keean Bexte assault on Monday since it was under investigation with charges pending.

Fortunately, tonight Yaniv was not on the farms with drunken meowing uttering death threats again. I wonder if Yaniv is going through the Hawthorne directory with choosing Units 101, 102, 103... we've seen accusations on Unit #208 (was it Sharon) and now Unit #229?
