probably not, its been known for about half a decade that he's a piece of shit. having said that i think its more of studios realizing they have grown beyond his abilities. he can still make money on indies but they won't let him helm a huge project anymore. the cracks were apparent back in Age of Ultron, and his output has slowed a lot, lots of his projects haven't been greenlit like they used to be. his new show he just left was the biggest thing he's done in 5 years, besides Justice League. i don't know how much input he had on Agents of SHIELD but you would think with every media company launching a streaming service he could have got more than one project signed and shot in the last 5 years. It seems like literally no one has returned his calls, even pre-justice league. This isn't James Gunn, where he has a new job before he finishes his commute home from his last one. Joss is too old and outdated, whatever fans he had have moved on, and he never adapted his style. For fucks sake that tv show he worked on sounds like it should have aired on the WB in 2001 not HBO in 2021.
Right before taking over for Justice League, it had been announced that Whedon was going to write and direct a Batgirl movie. I don’t remember if the allegations made by his ex-wife became before or after, but he withdrew from the project sometime after Justice League, saying that he just couldn’t come up with a story, which seemed very unlikely. In retrospect, this was around the time that #metoo was heating up and I sense that Whedon and his partners sensed he was on borrowed time. If networks didn’t sense that there was an anvil dangling above Whedon’s head, he’d have an enormous Netflix contract right now.
And the icing on the cake will be when someone will said then Hollywood is worse than Detroit.

What fucking job? Anita is as used up as Joss is. She might be able to get a job sometime down the line, but she probably smart enough to not jeopardize it by bringing someone as tainted as Joss into it.

Interesting. I remember hearing those rumors about Jewel Staite, but never Gellar or Hannigan. (Though as someone at the time noted, "it really puts his ad for Planned Parenthood in a different light, realizing that they're the cleanup crew for his casting couch.")
If it had been his rule, that would have been one thing; someone like Whedon voluntarily adopting the Pence Rule would actually be a smart play, because the whole point is to avoid even the appearance of impropriety (i.e. don't give the lying whores anything they can possibly use against you.) The fact that everyone else had to enforce this rule looks skeevy as fuck, if some more peripheral people corroborate it.
