They could give Dale a talk box. At some point that can reveal he doesn't really need it. He's just using it because he thinks the spam calls he gets are AIs and he's trying to trick them into thinking he's one of them. Or he's just generally trying to fool the governement.

I'm sure the new guy will do fine though, Dale's easily my favorite character on the show.

1. Not surprised at this one.
2. Not surprised but I figure Hank would want a more noble dog. Caesar also sounds less like a name he would like, surprised he didn't name it Scout or Champ or after a historical figure he liked in football.
3. Why the fuck? They were the closest married couple on the show and extremely loyal to each other. I hope its just a bait-and-switch and they end up back together.
4. This is way too absurd, Hank didn't wanna live with Bill and hes his closest friend.
5. This ones farfetched too but then again Hank has had weird moments where he watched something unconventional and liked it.
6. The most plausible thing out there, Peggy having one after all the years of mental trauma she put on herself.

Maybe it was Bobbys dog? Probably not, but he looks like a dog Bobby would have.

Minh was a ride or die but she also knew when to draw the line before things went too far. I'm really curious what they're fighting over.

I disagree. Dale is a great character and deserves to live beyond of what his moral voice actor could provide. That's a beauty of voice acting, what one started others can carry beyond of one man. None of that is disrespectful to the contribution of an actor, simply a part of the possibilities of this type of art.
I can literally go both ways. If he does a good job (or they even use an alien abduction plot to explain the voice change) I'll still be happy.

But as someone who loved Dale, part of me would also appreciate the show giving us a kind of virtual funeral to remember and mourn him.

One of the best moments in the show is when Kahn loses his job and after finally finding another one, Minh puts her foot down, "We're not moving again, these are good neighbors, you gonna commute."

I do hope we get to see them get back together.

I found some leaked storyboards/animatics for the King of the Hill continuation on /co/. Only about 5 minutes worth of "animation" revealed, but what we got so far is very gossip worthy.

~Bobby and Connie are dating
~Hank got a new ugly dog named Ceasar
~Kahn and Minh are all but confirmed to be divorced.
~Kahn is currently living with Bill
~Hank watches a Star Wars-like movie and gets teary-eyed by the end of it.
~In a hospital, Peggy has a realistic portrayal of a panic attack, drops an f-bomb, and starts yelling for Xanax.

I like that that the little snippet of what was shown had me chuckle a few times. Though there's definitely a feeling that some hip, young, 30-year-old millennials were writing some of these jokes. Despite a few modernisms thrown here and there, I'm happy to say the upcoming King of the Hill season is shaping up to be something worth watching.
Maybe it's because a common theme in revivals/reboots is burning everything that made them good, but I don't feel terribly confident with these story boards. A lot of the lightheartedness from the pre-revival episodes are going to be lost with so many characters in a different, some depressing state.
Maybe it was Bobbys dog? Probably not, but he looks like a dog Bobby would have.
Hank would be making good on his promise to let Bobby pick the next dog

Going heavy on le current year, although they did that with the Beavis and Butthead continuation too. Dale vaping and Bill getting doordash is pretty funny. I guess Arlen will lose that small town feel but that was kinda already happening in the late seasons.

This takes place ten years after the original making the setting 2011 or 2012. Why the hell are there drones and Doordash?

maybe this is ten years after ten years of KotH, and not ten years after one year?
Maybe? The plot synopsis they leaked said Bobby is 23 up from 13 in the original run, so ten years later.

It would be super weird if instead of a linear timeline it suddenly just took place in 2025.

Judge typically doesn't do that with his shows.

Bobby was always 13, now he is always 23
Eurasia and Eastasia yet to be determined

Okay, I can already forsee Bill trooning out since he already did that one time. What I can't figure out is how they are going to get faggots, cripples , brown people, and crippled faggot brown people into the main cast. Maybe have Joseph date a crippled squatamalen and have boomhaur marry a bulbhead Somali faggot? Oh even better, have boomhaur "pass the torch" to a Algerian pooner.

I can't remember where I read it and who knows if it's true, but I saw someone say that Toby Huss is taking over as VA for Dale. I don't know how to feel about that. Dale was one of, if not my favorite, character and it would be nice having him around for the whole reboot but I'm not sure.
That'll be good, I find it insanely racist to fire someone over their race.
I'm just glad they didn't cave to woke shit and decide that a white guy can't play a Pee Oh See anymore, when it was ok for years.
Especially since Laotians have been oppressed for centuries by people with Lauren Tom's Chinese ethnicity.

KOTHS always been like most adult animated media or any animated show, theres a floating timeline and the premise and episodic plots always adapt to whatever might be trending. Arlen modernizes after the show goes digital for example, many parts become gentrified outright. They go through like 3-4 Thanksgivings and Bobby is still 13.

Luanne Platter has been through years of beauty school, community college, and had a baby with a redneck.

And Bobby was still 13.

ETA: On mobile. Typed in Luanne, and the AI suggested next word was Platter. I have never used my phone to post about KotH. I find it funny that those were the suggested words.

To be fair that was the case with OG KOTH primarily with Hank not understanding Bobby's generation, trends in the 90s and 2000s or coming to grips that they were getting old.
I thought B&B's 2nd revival was pretty good and Mike Judge hasn't lost a beat with his humor. But seeing as how he's going to be more involved with this revival than the later seasons of KOTH's original run - after 5th season he lessoned his influence - that makes me very optimistic. I always felt the quality started gradually dipping by the time the show was in the mid 2000's. Hank was far more mellowed out and chirpier, Dale became more cartoonishly wacky, retcons that besmirched certain characters (Cotton wanting his urns flushed down a public restroom) ect.
Edit: And if we were to go by when that paintball episode aired in Season 2 back in 97, the teenager Cane is now 44-45 years old. Or rather just a few years older or same age as Hank is canonically in the original run.

Beavis and Butthead was great, they seemed to get all the "omg new thing" jokes out the way with the 2nd movie, can't stand when these reboots are so heavy with le modern thing jokes to where it feels unnatural. Its going to age sooo bad, if it hasn't already. It hurts to admit but I am excited for this, even though it breaks my rule of keep expectations rock bottom and you'll never be disappointed. Cool that Judge is going to be more involved, that makes me optimistic. Flanderized Dale was so bad, the basket weaving episode was awful.
