He's learned that there's nothing* he can do, the troles will always retaliate. Job at Wendy's? Troles. An easy way to obtain food, without ride bike? Troles. Rant and stream? Troles.

In studies on learned helplessness, they had to manually go in and help the dogs they were testing in move, because the dogs would just lie there and take it. Like Josh and not getting help with stuff like doordash.

Yeah it’s a really odd psychological issue. There’s things you can do but on an unconscious level there’s this feeling that it’ll be futile. It’s the ultimate defeatist mindset and why severe depression is so debilitating. For us we see Cobes getting constant harassment from trolls texting him and we think “literally just change your phone number you retard” but for cobra he figures even if he does change his phone number it’ll only be a matter of time until it gets leaked and the harassment starts up again so why even bother? His teeth are already fucked so why bother brushing them now? He’ll get kicked out of any establishment he goes to so why bother? Live streaming will just end up getting bullshit sent to his door so why bother?

honestly, casper isn't that big of a town. it's mostly "do nothing" town where nothing happens. however, since cobra is now a major lolcow; I'm sure he is infamous in town now . no one wants to rent a place to a guy who gets swatted and have random people come over to visit.

That's what I was thinking. It's a moderately-sized town without a lot of rental properties, especially compared to a city. Landlords will get wind of a problem tenant with evictions on his record pretty quickly, they all have an incentive to avoid them.

Seems likely the Conquistadors refused to go the term of lease route like the first apartment and instead formally evicted him, so that put Clint in a corner as well. Casper's done well as a result of the oil/gas boom in the Great Plains over the past two decades, landlords can afford to be choosier with their tenants.

wait, the last place evicted him? I thought that was a meme or something. I thought it was another term of lease. yeah, that fucked him up. eviction will fuck him up for renting for the next few years. however, if he's paying off that trailer, that could fuck with his SSI since the SSA also will adjust how much you get a month from any property you own. It's kind of like owning jewelry or expensive shit, they will think you can sell that shit, so you don't need the full amount they are willing to give you. I could be wrong.
