There are factors in my opinion that differentiate cobes from cwc. But I think that people (not necessarily Metal Heavy) like to rewrite history when bigger youtubers talk about Josh, and say that things are going to get worse for him. When in fact, he's had glass tappers ever since he's worked at Wendy's, and got swatted a year or so ago. And there have been trolls recently trying to fuck with it.

Cobes isn't nearly as gullible as Chris was. I remember someone once calling acting like they were from a recording label wanting to sign Josh. He quickly shut that shit down. Chris-Chan on the other hand always fell for it. Cobes also has Clint who would quickly tell him he's being trolled while Chris only had Bob who didn't understand how the internet worked. We'll get an influx and they'll soon get bored and move on while the 'cool' ones will stay.

It's true that Josh has always had trolls interfere in his life, in one way or another. The difference was that the "community" he had before was small enough to be self-moderated, so the amount of retardation was kept to a minimum. Anything organic had a chance of being very funny. Beyond that, a handful of trolling ops were calculated, concocted by people who knew how Josh thought. You'd never know they were responsible for it, either. They didn't spend their time posting about it on a subreddit for attention, they just did it because it was harmless fun, if only at the expense of Josh slightly.

Things are very different now. He's gained enough attention and notoriety over the past couple of years that the "community" has swelled beyond it's ability to self-moderate the retardation. That's why Josh has pulled away more and more these past couple of years. Yes, he's thin skinned, but he's been inundated with a couple hundred more people screaming the equivalent of "JULLLAAAAAY!" at him in his comments and his livestreams for a long while now. I'd shut them off too if I had to endure the regular screaming weenery of chuds every day. He's extremely paranoid and vigilant about trolling attempts now too, because a gaggle of these idiots have either maliciously fucked with him without letting up or attempted to do so multiple times and burnt him the fuck out. It's just the way she goes for Lolcows, the more attention they get, the more weens they'll attract and it ultimately lends the entire experience a long and slow death.

I don't know how the 'tism spectrum works, but I've always seen Chris as having the mental maturity of a 9-12 year old. His temper tantrums are feet stamping and finger pointing, he's obsessed with toys, likes colorful stupid shit, and his gullibility is at max level.

Cobes is more like 14-16 year old. All the goth crap, wands, drinking and smoking is the coolest thing you can do with your day, his temper tantrums are rage fits of breaking his own shit. He's not as gullible as CWC but his brain still wants to believe. That's why he'll say things like, "you're probably not the real Bernie Sanders, dood." He's learned his lesson many times, but deep down he's worried that he might be wrong so he'll leave the door open with probably.
