If you do all of these things, a pipe can quite literally last you a lifetime. Those two previous pipes are likely fucking disgusting because, as we know, Cobes can't be bothered to take care of things. I own two Savinelli's and they are fantastic pipes. Absolutely worth the money. As an enthusiast, it pains me to know the ultimate fate of that pipe.

If he's stoking it, one usually covers the bowl with their index and middle finger then gives it a few puffs to get it going again. He likely does it far too frequently and for too long, which would suggest he's packing the bowl too tight and/or/also the stem and shank are clogged. As was also mentioned by Rumply, he no doubt has a lot of saliva draining down the stem and into the bowl. That wets the tobacco making it difficult to maintain a good ember and creates a resin slurry (if it's a cased (flavored) tobacco, moisture naturally occurs due to the flavoring, doubling the effect). What confuses me is how he gets it on his palm. I could see it getting on his palm if he's tapping the bowl out into it, but he must pope the shit out of it to actually get stains on his hand. If that's the case, he could warm his hands while smoking outdoors during the winter because that bowl is scorched.

The thing is, he took pride in his work at wendy's. Reiterating from earlier in the thread, I think if he had been given a job that was out of the way, like night janitor, he would have been proud of his work keeping things clean and wouldnt be a headache by literally smelling his own farts in front of customers eating. AT the end of the day he got fired because of an a-log, so that's the outside problem he could only control by not talking about his job, which is not what josh would do
