One of the things they love to do is claim Josh has SSDI which pays much, much better then what he actually has which is SSI. SSDI you have to pay into over years and years of working to claim. Josh does not qualify for it. SSI which he actually has tops out in Wyoming at a very meager $943 a month. He likely isn't even getting that much. The average is closer to 550.

Since Josh lives alone, he should be getting the full $943. Lesser amounts are when you live with other people, they're paying for expenses, etc...

The most unhinged of cobra alogs post on alt accounts, respond to their own comments on alt accounts, upvote their own comments from alt accounts and then constantly accuse people of using alt accounts. They frequently get banned, rightfully for being unhinged alogs, and create numerous more accounts. There’s u/ClothedandSobbing going on about setting up numerous sock puppet accounts each day just to troll NaL. A long time ago, when I was a very poor young adult, I looked into food stamps, and your chances of getting on EBT at the time went down if you owned a car. The form to apply for EBT very specifically asked if you owned a car and how much it was worth (the second part is a fair enough point, though). I never actually did get on any welfare, but that was something that stood out to me and I found interesting.

I bet there’s no way to verify whether or not the applicant is being honest about owning a car. Interesting way to filter candidates. The more honest they are, the less likely they are to get EBT.

This is incorrect. People on assistance are allowed to exempt from their total assets the value (equity) of one property so long as it is just the one, and they have to also live on it.

Good to know I’d still qualify for assistance if I had, say, a thousand bikes on my property. Wouldn’t want all those bikes to count towards my total assets.

It is a good grift. For the government. Upstanding gentleman are capped at ~$40,000/yr salaries. There is a deep chasm of anti-prosperity if you ever want to make the leap from government dependence to true prosperity and independence because almost all 6 figure jobs are legit.

You have the looming threat of losing these benefits if you ever piss off the fed and the daunting task of overcoming the mother of all economic filters if you ever want to escape the cycle. It’s a great way to guarantee votes.

with cars i believe they check with the DMV to see if that car is registered to the person applying. everything else you could in theory just lie about. thats how you end up with those people who claim their friends and siblings children as their own in order to get more money.

but yeah you are right when you say the more honest you are the less likely you are to get EBT. lots of people like to talk about how easy it is to get but in reality they will deny you for even living in the same house as someone else who has money even if you are not related to them at all.

which is why you need to think about what you say because they are looking for any reason they can to deny you. thats why the idea of cobes of all people committing any form of fraud is hilarious. he cant even keep a secret for more than a few hours there is no way he could lie as much as required to commit any form of fraud.
