Having 5 black sprites stand around a clown/mime would be funny for a rotating banner.

Anyone want to help make this some day this week. It'll probably take 20 minutes tops. Maybe 5 mines 1 clown so no (mutts law).

I'm all hands for recruiting people from other websites, but other than 4chan (we're already advertising there), YouTube (that's already covered thanks to @Grayson Death Carlyle ) and Reddit I'm not really aware of any other sites a significant amount of SS13 players frequent.
So yeah, for now we CAN make a subtle advertisement thread on r/ss13, we might even get players given that there are already redditors playing /vg/ despite it being le evil raysis server. I don't who'd be willing to do that though.

We could definitely up our presence, if other people wanted to post different or similar videos on YouTube or shill on vg. People might like long plays similar to those by Tex of some of our rounds. God have mercy on anyone brave enough to shill on reddit.

is it because they're melvins? they'll show themselves the door if they cant stand how the server is

Bad players would get filtered anyway as you said, but it's also reddit which is gay so I personally don't want to be on it. Someone else though.

Also, banner ideas, involving screenshots from the thread that I thought might be somewhat funny without context. I do not think all of these would be suitable even with the very small chance we do get a banner, but they are funny regardless IMO.

At least @geckogoy can attach them to his weekly announcement post on Community Feature Submissions if none of the mods find our game worth of a feature.
Btw, I suggest you gecko to try and post the announcements much earlier then an hour before the session starts (say, 5-6 hours earlier) and see if it brings in more players.
