Dramacow Lantzblades - Beast Lair's Autistic Scourge

Ah, well, my bad. :|

I'm almost kinda sad I nearly forgot about this guy. I really do need to get around to seeing some of his fics.
Well, I might just be able to give you a link to Lantz's Magnum Opus. Depends though on the version you want.
I am a bit of an asshole in these threads and there really is no excuse for that other than my own sperging. I can get a bit touchy about canon and I loathe writers who are shitty yet insist their stuff is the best ever.

I'm new to the Nasuverse so the canon'll probably fly right over my head.

Shitty writing, though? Fuck, I love tearing that apart.

I'd avoid it if I were you - the fandom in general tends to be pretty casual about dropping what are major spoilers for the actual story. But if you don't mind that, then go ahead.

You'll love tearing this apart then. Shitty writing EVERYWHERE. Some of the lines are nonsensical and lead to sentences that don't exist.

One of my and Salto's informers Beta'd (Basically acted as an editor and sounding board) for some of his fanfiction back in the day. Note that they obliterated most of the horrible grammar. Most of it.

There was worse shit in this.

The VN is over 10 years old, so most members consider spoilers to be pretty much nonexistant. I'd actually recommend reading the Tsukihime VN before reading Fate/Stay Night. It's a bit shorter and was Nasu's first real work in the current Nasuverse. Arguably KnK is the first but that's sort of its own thing.

On the one hand, I appreciate their work in trying to make it suck less. On the other, that means that there won't be any funny misspellings to laugh at.

I'm pretty sure there still are.

Oh shit almost forgot about this thread. He deleted it three times after people started posting criticism in it of the oneshot.

If you can't handle people telling you your stuff sucks, then don't post it asking for criticism. Deleting it and reposting it isn't going to make the criticism go away, either - it's just going to get worse.

*twitch*

It's.
Spelled.
SENPAI.

By the Holy Grail itself, who the fuck makes that kind of mistake? I know it's like the most spergy thing to sperg about but this is like fucking using the "mr" tag incorrectly in English.
Technically it is, but it's pronounced "sempai" and when dealing with romanji it's usually spelled that way.

Be warned, Japanese sperging to follow:
Japanese is a strange language but it's rule based and unlike English where the exceptions to the rule generally make the rule illogical, only about 10% of the Japanese words do.

So "sempai" is spelled "先輩" or "せんぱい" depending on how you feel. That character "ん" that I always felt looked like a nose, is a nasal syllabic and is the only Japanese kana character that exists on it's own. It's pronounced similarly to how we say "n". So "せんぱい" would be written as "senpai" but here's the problem, it's pronounced "seMpai" due to the "p" that follows it. Whenever the "ん" is followed by the "p" or "b" sound it's changed to an "m" sound.

So newspaper: 新聞, しんぶん or shinbun would be pronounced as "shimbun"

Edit: Too late. @Nara beat me to it.

the Nasuverse is a complicate thing because almost all the fluff and crunch to role play is in extra things that are not anime/vn that are writed by nasu and even if he wrote it sometimes it break rules that he wrote before for example fate extra is considered canon because nasu wrote it, but in that game he put ryogi shiki (she appears as MONSTER category) as the same level as servant (in the game she supposedly kill hundreds and hundreds of servants) when nasu told in a interview that she barely would survive a fight against one, tsukihime is debatable, people is discussing about considering the new game as the new canon and scrap the old one, sadly Tsukihime 2.0 is the freaking The Last Guardian of Visual novels and we have to suffer nasu lazyness

also THIS CHAIR, and still no one translate mahoyo

that depends, like almost all the fandoms there are edgy morons to believe that hey are the SUPERIOR fan and you should respect their superiority, thank to the great mushroom in heavens the nasuverse is almost as complicate as the Warhammer lore so they always drop from the fandom when the anime ends, almost all those retards has never played a vn, the true nasufags that i know are pretty cool guys that know stuff, heck we were searching in books who the hell was Scathach when she was announced because wikipedia did not help the only clue we have in that moment was that she was holding Gae Bolg, that was fun

I more meant in the sense that most people will assume you already know SPOILER is SPOILER and has SPOILER, which if you've barely gotten past the prologue is going to be ruining a major plot twist. It's like reading someone's Harry Potter fanfiction when you've just read the first book - it's not unreasonable that they're going to mention Snape killing Dumbledore, but it might take some of the fun out of the actual series.

Heck, it's standard bad writer pattern. When people keep doing the same thing over and over, and not recognizing the pattern, though, it makes me want to shake them until they do. Though I think in this case, it's less that he doesn't expect the result, and more that he's trying to force everyone else to change. Lantz just thinks if he yells at everyone hard enough, they'll have to listen to him.

Reviewing the OOC thread more deeply reveals surprisingly little whining from lantz actually in the Grill War thread - it seems that was saved for his PM's with the GM, and it might take some time to get any evidence of that. My apologies.

Instead, we'll focus on Mike's actions in the thread, because they ARE lulz worthy IMO.

Salto and I will check with our informants though to make sure we can use some other content.

If I had been playing in that game, I would have been incredibly tempted to deliberately forget about Sakura, just to piss him off. Or decide that the character I'm controlling doesn't believe me when I tell them about what's going on with her.

Though if you have access to those PMs... The smackdown was such a thing of beauty, his whining must have been delicious.

It's not even that. He absolutely refuses to be wrong under any circumstances, and his refusal to accept critisism stems from that. He transcends stubborn, that man.

Oh, gods, I remember trying to RP with a bastard like that. That kind of experience is extremely shitty since, if the GM doesn't eventually stop him, he'll turn the entire cast into a glorified support role.

(They also tend to be the type that take head canon WAAAAAY too fucking seriously.)

Oh, absolutely. There was the time he lost his shit at me for mispelling Satoshit's name, when he refused to speak with me or give me his skype so I could, you know, beta.

Oh and satoshi's not the third magician.

He's the second and third magician.
Any quotes/caps/details?
