I mean, Jesus... This is a fraction of the catie stuff, he just would not leave her alone. He repeatedly messaged her telling her how bad his heart felt, how achy he was, how depressed he was, as if his medical problems were her responsibility. He really truly believes he could tell her it was her job to take care of him. And the "do not reply" shit, because he didn't want to hear her opinions at all. "Don't express yourself to me at all if you won't say what I like, I'd rather this conversation be purely one way and you stay silent." Wow, such a caring person. But it was okay for him to repeat the same guilt trip over and over. "You won't follow my orders, so I want you to feel terrible for the rest of time." Real classy.
 
Such an odd mix of pity and disgust. Chris almost seems sympathetic, but then destroys the sympathy by being an unfathomable dickhead.

I wonder if it's a Barb thing he's picked up. "Let me tell you how sick and frail I am so you feel obligated to stay near me and take care of me without any consideration of your own well-being." I missed the "do not reply" though... that's fucked up as hell.

If there's anything that would be an alternative explanation, it would be that Chris was never taught to respect others or earn what he wanted, and the result would coincidently be barb-like.

This. It makes a lot of sense actually.
Chris has always said that he was upset he didn't get super recognition for getting standard grades in art and whatever else it was. He wanted someone to publicly acknowledge that he was "great" and did "good". When no one did, he threw a fit. Chris doesn't understand that there are other people out there that did way better work than he did (to get the awards) and that he had to earn them by doing above standard work.

We also see this belief in almost every single girlfriend email ever. Chris literally puts nothing into a relationship. He thinks that drawing his girlfriend a picture is extreme work that he should be compensated for through meetings and sex. He didn't even respect Caitie enough to understand that she CLEARLY didn't want to be in a relationship.

Oh it's definitely a Barb thing, I think. When Barb and Chris got arrested, Chris started chimping out because he was worrying about Barb's health. Barb just builds up this idea in Chris' head that she's old and frail and at any moment, she could keel over and die. She needs her baby boy. Just being separated from his mommy unexpectedly caused Chris to lose his shit.
 
This is literally the most autistic thing I've ever read. Also, a great reminder of what a contemptible bastard Chris can be when he decides that something he wants was "basically promised".

Also, Daffy Duck, Charlie Brown, Care Bears and of course Legos. 32 years old.

Chris doesn't have respect for himself because he will not do anything to better himself to get a girlfriend and prefers to be a leech on society by living on welfare. Not to mention, he pepper sprayed a GameStop employee who did nothing to him over Sonic's blue arms. Sure he's at Impulse hanging out with the ladies but all he cares about is china. He doesn't care about anyone's feelings but his own. In the end, all he wants is the china. Heck! He even paid a prostitute to have sex with as well and is still not happy.

Too bad that's not the case with Chris. His entitlement issues got worse since then since in the end, we all know what his biggest goal in life is; find a Barb replacement who will serve him hand and foot. That's how he views his idea wife. I wouldn't be surprised if later on he told another chick that he had to spend money on a prostitute so he doesn't feel lonely like he did before.

Since he learned a lot from Barb and she's a veritable vinegar plant, I'm guessing not... the problem is that he actually thinks he's delivered on the honey front and now it's time for repayment.

All of this sort of makes me wonder how Barb flirted with the construction workers...
