Legend of Zelda thread - Lorefags GTFO!

I get it, I'm 32 I grew up playing Nintendo, my first console was the SNES with donkey Kong country packed in and an old NES my stepdad brought out of the closet. My favorite game of all time is either super Metroid or ocarina of time.

I've been a Nintendo sperg,

I realize they aren't the only ones who can make masterpiece games though at the same time
Not only are they not the only ones capable of making masterpieces, but the guy who spearheaded one of the games you listed died in the 90s and his team got dissolved in the early 2000s, the other was spearheaded by a guy who has semi-retired to focus on theme parks and movies. Old Nintendo ain't coming back.

Lol I forgot miyamotos basically tired of video games at this point and wants to focus on theme parks and making movies.

Probably wanted to do that for a long time

and Xenoblade 2.
Xenoblade 2 was a downgrade in pretty much every way from the prior two games, it was only so popular because it was the first big JRPG on the Switch and its anime aesthetic attracted the Persona 5 fanbase to it. I can't wait to see what happens if they ever go back to their old style from XCX (which is the same as the Xenosaga style), since the XC2 fanbase was already complaining with XC3's toned down sexuality. But this is going off topic.
What I really want is a good, new Old Zelda.
I've been replaying OOT on my new Steam Deck using that PC port by the Discord larpers, honestly its not as good as you probably remember it being and I'm guilty of thinking it was better too. There are probably many more ways to 'modernize' the Zelda formula other than making it into an open world, but I don't think they are going to now that Botw and now Totk have sold so well.

Whoa whoa whoa let's not say things we can't take back.

I replayed it a few months ago on my N64 and again a few weeks ago on the virtual console thing and it was great.

I guess we have different opinions about everything.

Play A Link to the Past if you haven't for a while. I guarantee it's better than you remember.

I think I'm going to go check out Lurelin Village next. Still only have on temple completed but the wandering and exploring has been fun. I usually play for an hour or two most days (or every other day) and I just kind of pick a direction and start walking.

did all the NPCs who keep talking about the disaster get to you?

This popped up in my recommended videos. The lorefag copium has begun.
Sit back and enjoy the cope

I briefly looked into the lorefag happenings and its all extreme levels of cope that they are deflecting as the game actually have super deep complex lore instead of being a standalone story with zero lore.

Are they finally starting to accept that BOTW was a total reboot?

Who am I kidding, these are faggots that obsessed over timelines. Of course they're not.

Do any first party Nintendo games actually have deep lore spanning multiple games? I can't think of a single example. Hell, I can't think of an example of a single Nintendo game with deep lore.
inb4 some fag says Earthbound

Someone will argue Metroid too, but there is absolutely nothing deep about Metroid.

(Also there is nothing wrong with that. In fact, that is part of the charm)
