Legend of Zelda thread - Lorefags GTFO!

Pardon my rambling, but I'm wondering why none of the Zelda games have an underwater Zora Kingdom besides Oracle of Ages.

All of the Zora Kingdoms besides Ages are primarily above ground affairs, even if they have certain sections or territories under water, the seat of power is always in oxygen. Wind Waker annoyed me because they shafted the Zora and "evolved" them into bird people when the entirety of Hyrule should have been their oyster. "But the water is enchanted so they can't!" Utterly Retarded. We could have gotten to see a 3D Zora's domain at the height of a Zora empire. The power dynamic having completely shifted since Ocarina to the point where they've basically taken over everything below the waves. They even could've helped Link access Hyrule castle... but no, they're just birds.
That Link would be a bigger gay icon than what he already is?
That's only twink "drag queen" Link from Ubisoft Zelda. The real Link is a man's man with iron abs, and a harem (as Miyamoto intended).

Triforce Heroes did it first.

If you could live comfortably both out of the water and in the water, why would you build your entire kingdom underwater?

So most of the retards that Ganon employs can't reach it? But wait, then we wouldn't have an subplot that's focused on rescuing them.
Ganon can still reach them though, otherwise the water temples wouldn't exist. Besides, why give up the luxuries of living on land when you could live on land and have an underwater hold out, which is what the intelligent Zora would do. They'd still get fucked, but they'd at least look smart. Sort of like the Rohirrim retreating into the Hornburg to weather Saruman's assault.

All this talk and no one's mentioned that Echoes of Wisdom copied the whole River vs Ocean Zora thing from Oracle of Ages and had the Ocean Zora in an underwater town (well it's inside a cave that you dive into and exit out into an air pocket so you're still running around on the ground inside, but the cave is underwater so it counts!).
