Open Records requests need to be made in writing, so I'm not sure what the point of a phone call is here. I guess you could call just to find out if you can get them, but you're not going to have an Open Records request even acknowledged without your name and signature attached to it.

You will also have to go through the PA Courts system for the records regarding the Arraignment and any trials from here on out. That gets a little more pricey, as you pay $80/hr for however long it takes for someone to round up whatever information you need and review it to redact what the court considers non-public information.

It might not be possible to get the audio, though. While it would be preferable, it's not necessarily available, while the transcript definitely will be.

Its possible, but unlikely given there is no set guidance on it. But a transcript is highly likely to be easily obtained. I'd definitely ask about the audio availability. It can't hurt and one never knows.

The primary goal is to find out more information regarding the 30th, as most of it is speculation and hearsay. The August 10th date is more of a "If I can, I will" thing. I don't make it a hobby obtaining court records every time a lolcow butts heads with the law.
