You'd think the touching would be the main issue she'd expand on regarding these SEXUAL MISCONDUCT ACCUSATIONS.

Anyone who has worked in an office for some time would've come across at least one example of a Madison. They're not even exclusively female, I've seen men act this way and completely fuck up the dynamic of an otherwise functional workplace. Though LMG being run by weirdo manchildren who tolerate a staff member flaunting their degenerate fetish have made an otherwise annoying drama queen into a total PR nightmare as she latches onto controversy and makes it all about her.All of that makes it seem like she's taking normal things that happen in offices, unpleasant but within the limits of what's acceptable, and making them out to be beyond the pale. I just don't buy it, sorry.
It was doomed to fail from the start. Everything on there is locked behind a paywall. Think patreon but the only uploads are videos. So is floatplane of any value or is it doomed to irrelevance ? Feels like it’s always still in a limited beta
I believe that someone asked her to twerk, but like c'mon. Her story reads as 100% true to me, especially the unprofessional atmosphere and sexual harassment. Have you watched even a single LTT video? Maybe it’s a woman thing, but take my word for it, they set off constant red flags.
Yeah cutting your own thigh to get extra sick days is crazy, I’m not saying otherwise, but I entirely believe the stress of being overworked and the LMG tech-bro atmosphere drove her to it.
Its struggling to establish a niche among 'premium' youtube competitors. Nebula and Curiosity Stream (They bundle the two so hard, they might as well be one service) have their niche in long form and documentary style content, and reportedly are in the black, if only marginally. Floatplane meanwhile doesn't really have much of relevance, and their financials are opaque. So is floatplane of any value or is it doomed to irrelevance ? Ties into what I figured. It specifically seemed odd to me when floatplane was heading under way that they seemed to be so picky and limited with channels they would get on board. It seemed they were going for techy channels but then.. whats the purpose? it also seemed they were discussing "packages" of a sort where you would pay for a handful of channels kind of like cable subscriptions. Its struggling to establish a niche among 'premium' youtube competitors. The premium video sharing space is still a gamble, hard to say if its truly doomed or not. On one hand, its trying to compete with free, backed by a seemingly endless google wallet to fill the money black hole. And google is very interested in making sure they keep that dominant hand on the space, in case it ever becomes truly profitable in the future. Its a long term loss leader style thing. On the other hand, bottomless money never is, and eventually something has to give - Premium competitors are gambling that the financials give before the speculation does, and that 'free' platforms push more and more monetization, and alienate customers. Censorship to appease advertisers also factors in, a lot of stuff I want to watch can't be talked about on youtube, so I pay to go elsewhere that isn't worried about offending Nestle and losing Ad Spend.
I think Floatplanes real problem is a complete lack of perceived market niche. I have no idea half of what they actually serve, and I have no idea what they might have based on the name, and there's exceedingly little marketing. Meanwhile, feels like every other long form content I watch has a Nebula or Curiosity stream sponsor, which makes sense when I'm 110% the target audience for that shit. Floatplane does a terrible job of selling itself.
I'm pretty sure most (if not all) of these channels put some of their content out elsewhere as well.Decided to actually take a look at floatplane, firstly you can't actually see what's there without having an account, which is already a yellow flag because what if you heard someone you like is on it but you don't want to commit to making an account anyway
Made an account to see, a few creators

List isn't terrible so I thought, hey surely they have at least a few video's you can watch to see if the quality is at all okay, there are no free videos. So I don't quite understand the niche, I'm guessing its meant to be a patreon alternative, but Patreon already established itself as the defacto donation place years ago so I'm guessing that most of these users were encouraged to join by a payout from LTT/Floatplane and are just coasting on having that
Yeah work in a corporate setting long enough and you will develop a sixth sense that screams "this person is trouble, avoid at all costs" when you come across them.Anyone who has worked in an office for some time would've come across at least one example of a Madison. Salute for your sacrifice. Hope you're at least skipping segments of verbal diarrhea. I don't know how you have the stamina.Really not a lot of stuff about their clean-up week, just generic tech nerd stuff
It's what I listen to when mowing the yard and doing landscaping. I admit I can't listen to the show anymore on more mentally intensive things like some woodwork or renovation projects because the constant rubbing in your face of his rather undeserved money (that at this point Linus doesn't even realize he does) just puts me in a bad mood.Salute for your sacrifice. Hope you're at least skipping segments of verbal diarrhea. I don't know how you have the stamina.
She aint got no ass doeI believe that someone asked her to twerk, but like c'mon.
I wouldn't say I believe her, because I'm sure she's blowing shit out of proportion. But where there is a semblance of belief, is with her work contract related stuff; not the OMG HE HIRED ME WITHOUT MY CONSENT stuff, but the she can/cannot monetize her outside work, and other shit. There was an employee in their lab, who was working for Linus for like 6 months and didn't get paid because of paperwork fuckery. It wouldn't surprise me if Linus (or Yvonne, or whoever) said one thing, then put something different in writing; not a 1:1 believe her word, but not placing all that under the bus of BPD femoid.I'm baffled at the posters here seriously considering the words of a BPD foid that self-mutilates. I know you drooling retards will latch on to anything to validate your hatred of Linus but really? Come on now.
Give a girl a White Claw and she'll try really hard. She aint got no ass doe
I'm not a marketing guru or anything. But if you're gonna account and paywall your entire platform, you need some sort of bait. YouTube has that channel feature thing where a user can put an introductory video up saying who they are and what they do and what-not, which is fine for YouTube. But for something this controlled, you should have a creators can do a free video or two to give an example of how their stuff goes. The only thing I recognize on there is Forgotten Weapons so I know what he does; but if I didn't, well, for all I know he's into medieval weaponry, because those things are so forgotten they're not even used anymore.Decided to actually take a look at floatplane, firstly you can't actually see what's there without having an account, which is already a yellow flag because what if you heard someone you like is on it but you don't want to commit to making an account anyway

The 'intent' seems to be that the creator steers YouTube traffic onto the platform, like how Curiosity Stream has been pretty aggressive lately with creators doing a video on YouTube, and ending it with a deep dive tease on the topic exclusive to the platform if you sign up. Floatplane doesn't expect you to sign up unless you already know you want to be there - a terrible onboarding experience.I'm not a marketing guru or anything. kek. I'm glad I funded this by buying a dbrand case for my samsung back in the day. dbrand is probably full of retarded liberal homosexuals but at least they can be funny.-dBrand did send them a box of broken glass
Also not a major issue because dropping $2500+ (CAD) on a new phone is nothing to Linus. And he'll probably break the next one too. It's not a major issue to him because his phone backs up and it's only a few photos lost.
