There was another one that was was just as reviled, if not more, than Bonkers.
Originally a French comic book series Disney made their own version of the show that sucked balls. It survived just one season in the US before getting canceled. It was part of Raw Toonage (Great nineties name, right?) and there'd be three shorts; Marsupilami, Sebastian the Crab (Yes, the Little Mermaid) and the equally bad Shnookums and Meat. CBS picked up Marsupilami and ran the series a bit longer and Shnookums and Meat eventually got it's own spinoff as well.
Disney also spent a lot of the nineties making animated series for a lot of their movies. The Lion King had Timon and Pumbaa, The Little Mermaid, The Emperors New School...quite a few. I was a huge fan of the Aladdin animated series; they had recurring villains, interesting plotlines and a pretty good voice cast.
