Werner liking sushi seems out of left field to me.

My guess is he just says that because it's a hip food and he sees other people online talk about it.Werner liking sushi seems out of left field to me.
That stuff can be expensive in Burgerland. Even the cheap supermarket kind can be $5 to $10 for a small plate. My guess is he just says that because it's a hip food and he sees other people online talk about it.
Unless Lucas works full-time, he won't fully lose his EBT nor will it go down that much.I think it would be his EBT the 1st one to be reduced or he'd no longer qualify.
Unfortunately that doesn’t matter to someone who has never had to work for anything, and whose gluttony is funded by tax payers. That stuff can be expensive in Burgerland. Even the cheap supermarket kind can be $5 to $10 for a small plate.
Sushi is a favorite of his. Back in 2018-2019 his go to place for sushi was the Wave Sports Grill and Sushi Bar. I think at some pt in 2020 he started talking about taking a date to another restaurant called Sushi.Com.Werner liking sushi seems out of left field to me.
I agree with your edit. Lucas is woefully behind the times, whether he's referring to the MTV Beach house, or sushi, which was TRULY trendy only in the 1980s, became gradually more mainstream throughout the 1990s, and is now sold at Walmart and gas stations for Christ's sake.View attachment 3401484View attachment 3401485
Just posting these to show that sushi is one of Lucas' favorite foods. I am pretty sure it's because it's relatively expensive and he sees it as cool with gen z or whatever.
Edit: Actually it was because it was cool with millennials and he didn't bother to change anything about his thoughts or approach when he moved on to gen z.
Even when he was homeless, he would treat himself to $65 steak dinners and things like that. He will buy these fancy restaurant dinners and then also make the worst looking food when he can cook.I agree with your edit. Lucas is woefully behind the times, whether he's referring to the MTV Beach house, or sushi, which was TRULY trendy only in the 1980s, became gradually more mainstream throughout the 1990s, and is now sold at Walmart and gas stations for Christ's sake.
Of course, frequently homeless Lucas turns his nose up at "cheap" sushi, not that he would know quality in this area more than any other one, but for someone who rails against greed and capitalism, Lucas likes everyone to know that the food he's gorging on is expensive, frequently making note of the fact that he orders the most expensive item on the menu at any given restaurant.
Despite the fact that he eats the most Americanized garbage, like California rolls, he thinks he's too good for anything but restaurant sushi... which of course varies widely in quality.
I actually think part of the reason why sushi is such a favorite of his, is because many of these restaurants offer somewhat reasonably priced "all you can eat" specials.
And that's good enough for the bottomless pit.
So if younger women aged 19+ don't want to date a broke, fat, autist living on welfare then it's somehow their fault for not wanting to do so?
How about you stop being an old creeper, clean yourself up, shave, get a real job and find a woman closer to your own age and stop creeping on the kids.
I've worked for some people who have made questionable hiring decisions, so it's a possibility. The Creep is a liability to any employer but there may be someone stupid enough to hire him.
California rolls are from Canada, and are popular in the pacific northwest because they are vegetarian and have no animal products in them. they are also made and consumed in Japan, but uncommonly since they lack the seaweed or fish more in line with actual sushi.Americanized garbage, like California rolls
Avoid exercise, consoom takeout. Doesn't surprise me he's not really into sports or anything competitive. Even D&D has too much of a competition factor for him.California rolls are from Canada, and are popular in the pacific northwest because they are vegetarian and have no animal products in them. they are also made and consumed in Japan, but uncommonly since they lack the seaweed or fish more in line with actual sushi.
i do agree that Lucas erroneously ascribes sushi (and probably stuff like 7 layer dip or beef stroganoff and maybe chicken francaise) as being attractive since that stuff rose to popularity in the 80's (or was imported and commercialized as trendy in the 80's and 90's) and these days it's passe. he's stuck in his opinions that way and seems to contort reality to fit his views of various people/places/objects/cuisines.
between gluttony and lack of real aspirations or motivations besides a singular focus on his obsession, then add a lack of understanding of modern economics or civics (to be fair he's no super alone in that, look how many younger people are "into" communism and are e-beggars) you'd figure he'd at least pick current trends.
it's sort of telling that he doesn't seem to get into the social media trends that get super popular fast or popular media like movies or franchise trends that much other than mentioning bands from 30 years ago and where an interest can come around to being almost retro again (board games vs electronics/software games). at least one consistent thing is a complete lack of interest in sports or more "active" hobbies like hiking or rock climbing or something.
that's really the root of it all - coddled as a kid and can't handle even the hint of competition (or even the thought of competition) so he psyches himself out of the competitors and because he still wants the "prize" he demands to be handed it - and has no understanding of the disdain regular working people have for people demanding (not asking for a reasonable helping hand) hand outs as if they are entitled to it. his lack of ability in understanding others and other's values for their time (and by extension how all aspects of government and socioeconomic theory) feeds into this.Even D&D has too much of a competition factor for him.
Is Werner one of those guys who think the gov't should be providing "state sponsored girlfriends"?It pisses him the gov't is not giving him everything he wants for free
That first screenshot is just like that parody I made up.Just posting these to show that sushi is one of Lucas' favorite foods.

After you've worked in seafood for half your life, you want no parts of raw fish. I don't eat it but even I know there's a vast difference between hand rolled sushi at a restaurant and slimy garbage they sell premade at the grocery store deli.I agree with your edit. Lucas is woefully behind the times, whether he's referring to the MTV Beach house, or sushi, which was TRULY trendy only in the 1980s, became gradually more mainstream throughout the 1990s, and is now sold at Walmart and gas stations for Christ's sake.
