It certainly sounds like a lucas thing to do. He's definitely not straight, conversations with klickitats alts made that quite clear. Lucas says all kids of shit to people who he thinks are little girls interested in him apparently.
It never occurs to lucas that straight people don't have to repeatedly go out of their way to tell everyone how totally straight and not gay at all they are and that people who do that send up all kinds of red flags that they're not straight. Its like when liars and cheaters go out of their way to randomly bring up how they're super loyal, are super honest people that hate liars and don't cheat that its suspicious as fuck because only people who lie and cheat and have been caught at it multiple times would feel it necessary to make a point of bringing up how they don't do those things when nobody asked or mentioned it

Even lying about not having MRSA despite being treated for it being the literal first thing he did when he got to spokane, having made multiple posts and videos about it and having had one of his famous crying breakdowns in the hospital while getting treated for it and realizing that the woman he went there to meet wasn't living at any of the places he called to check
That said, i'm a bit surprised they even allow him to have a roommate given the fact he's got MRSA. Living with someone that has it is a real easy way to end up getting it yourself

First among lucas's unsavory traits lucas is (even by his own admission) a coward who is afraid of getting into trouble. He himself has admitted in his 2010 reflections that fear of getting into trouble 'keeps him more law abiding' and that he only does shit that can get him into serious trouble deliberately out of desperation or when he thinks he can get away with it. Its why you see him pre-empt his crypto scam stuff with 'i'm keeping chatlogs! I won't get in trouble if its a scam cause I have the chatlogs!' despite knowing full well he's been told what he's doing is blatantly a scam and can get him into trouble. He thinks he is far more intelligent and successful at manipulating people than he really is. In his own mind he's practically walter white tier manipulative
So yeah, a big reason he hasn't been busted doing something bad enough to land him in jail yet is he knows he's being watched and isn't entirely convinced people near him and people he talks to don't have some secret ties to groups that watch him. KF is one of them, but there is also sofalaw and local creep watchers in washington state and spokane. The fact he is never entirely sure he isn't being watched, sometimes directly (which is strengthened by the fact lucas knows about and has seen for himself random pictures taken of him in public on the street and in places like the airport when he went to LA to meet 'mia') is what keeps him outwardly mostly law abiding. He's never certain at any given moment in public that someone isn't watching him and recording what he does. Thats why he's so pissed off about being recorded in public, it keeps him from doing what he wants to do without any proof of it. Even then though it doesn't stop him from doing illegal shit when he thinks he won't get caught. Like all those grooming incidents online and in places like restaurants. Note that he stopped public grooming with burritos and shit like that when publicly recording him became known to him. But even more recently he still pushes his luck and was frequently one freaked out woman away from getting his ass locked up doing things like recording women in creepy ways in public while making creepy statements about them, by recording them while asleep in public (can you imagine the shitshow that would have happened if she'd woken up while he was doing that and talking about how if he were a bad person he could rape her or whatever) and things of that nature. The only reason he doesn't do it now is because he has little reason to be outside without any money. You can bet he's still searching the internet for a new grooming victim though, which is why he's been reeing about women on dating sites recently
Note how much more criminal he admitted to behaving back in the late 90s/early 00s even freely admitting to scamming some woman out of $400 'because he had to' to pay the rent, because he had nobody keeping an eye on him and thought he would easily get away with it without anyone knowing about it. It why he wants to get rid of sofalaw and kf, not because he gives a shit about them but because they monitor his illegal and creepy behavior and hold him to account for his actions in front of everyone
