As punishment he was exiled to the outskirts of the strip mall and doomed to forever roam the parks jogging trails leering over that which he can never have

At this rate he'll eventually be exiled from there as well and kept away from his fartcot in the shelter and will be forced to take a job waddling around the city with a rickshaw strapped to him, ferrying teen couples around when they are taking in the sights of spokane during their dates, in exchange for being granted shelter under a ratty old bridge by the hobos

I wish I had gone to HS with Lucas. Truly. I feel that I missed out by not having the opportunity to bully him mercilessly when he was a teenager. This loss saddens me.

people generally do not externalize a moral compass, they develop it based on internalizing the behaviors that make up a good person by providing both the reasoning and emotional well being of a healthy psyche that sympathizes and empathizes with others, and the desire to be treated well by others. the development point of a small child of around 8 is when they begin to stop doing bad things because of punishments and instead see themselves in someone else's shoes - this ability to empathize with others is a key formative value that separates people like sociopaths from typical people that are more developed.

when i was attending POST (police academy basically), criminology makes it very clear that people that commit crimes aren't just "evil" or something without conscious thought like an animal. instead many criminal reason out their crime because they either distinctly seek a selfish desire to get ahead (lack of empathy) or discount the experiences of others in relation to themselves (lack of sympathy). outside of that you get into seriously deranged people.

needing to externalize (having a "voice" that tells you how to behave) morality i think i remember being mentioned as a coping mechanism to replace the actual external moral influence of a parent or authority figure because the person hasn't developed an actual moral set of behaviors or decision making processes based on empathy or sympathy. i guess the short story is that people that know how to put themselves into others shoes don't need to have a "voice" telling them to behave well, instead they have to make an excuse to behave badly and can experience distress if they can't justify their bad behavior to themselves. this is the opposite of where Lucas is at.

all that being said, i'm not a psychologist or anything, and it's been years since i took these classes, i'm sure there are some people on here that can describe what i'm getting at better.

I'm sure you're right about all this, but to be honest when I hear Lucas talk about any sort of external voice that he hears, I can't help but think of his auditory delusions from his schizophrenia. It's an interesting mix of superiority complex, narcissism, and deep-seated insecurities.

As has been said before, I actually don't think these pleasing lies Lucas tells himself are all that successful at giving him the denial of reality that he wants. Someone mentioned earlier how desperately he wants to be a man, to be manly, but the anger arises from him ultimately knowing that he's not. I think this is true with the moral superiority as well.

Edit: or at least it's true when he's more lucid. During his manic episodes he seems fully to believe.

Interesting observation. I read it similar to you, maybe darker.

It's part ego saving device, wherein he tries to assert moral superiority and sexual desireability while explaining his inceldom and pedo tendencies; and part explanation of how he talks himself out of committing sex crimes.

He could ball all these girls, and maybe he wants to because he's a man(!), and they want him, too, but he doesn't, because he's a good guy...and it kind of sucks to be a good guy...and he has to constantly remind himself to be a good guy.

As @Club Sandwich observed, that's not how a "good guy" thinks.

In light of his "I'M NOT MANLY? I'LL FUCK A GIRL SO HARD!" comments, this is pretty dark. Like: "I'M NOT MORAL? I'D FUCK A GIRL SO HARD!" As if there were any mystery as to what's on his mind.

Or if he's a predator. Just a very feeble one.

There's the added step with Lucas that we know the girls he really wants to approach are underage and illegal. I think in Lucas' eyes, he already sees himself as the moral good guy because he knows to avoid those girls and is fighting those urges. Lucas is aware that he's the town pedo and has this following of hate, which is deserved. He also knows it's over for him... even if Lucas had a decent job and nice place to live, his reputation is shattered and a woman would need to be insane or desperate to trust him.

Thus, I think his constant 18-24 zoomer bae shit is coping. He knows full well he has 0 chance of ever getting one of these girls to like him. It's all a distraction from a broken life and Lucas may as well make an ass of himself and be a "comedian" because what else is there.

I feel for Lucas because I'm similar to him with a lot of this (mainly not the pedo stuff). It really hurts being known as the mentally ill pathetic loser that will never have love in your life. But, you have to make the most of what you have and not compound your errors... which Lucas sadly always does.

Lucas grows more hilarious and dangerous by the day. Each morning he rises at the homeless shelter and wanders the streets like an erect, schizo ghost promises new madness and laughs. It is truly an exciting time to be a Wernologist.

Yet, while we watch his degeneration and wait for his inevitable hospitalization and/or arrest, there is still much work to be done in ancient Wernology.

An early Twitter account of Lucas's has been located. It is about as riveting as you'd expect a small, euphoric atheist account from 2010 to be. It can, however, help Wernologists trace Lucas's spectacular decline over time. This may be of interest to future generations of Wernologists, even if it doesn't shed too much light on his current rampage.

But anyway, there was once a time when Lucas was just an unremarkable fat tard who thought Dawkins was rad...

Before he stalked jogging paths for Zoomer poonaner, and shouted on street corners about literally eating and excreting vaginas, Lucas liked to participate in the then popular atheist community. He was one of many such fat speds on the margins.

Note that according to reports from this era (and thirst Tweets linked to this account) he may've used atheism as a mating strategy. He was apparently banned from atheist groups for creeper behavior even back then.

Yet, he seems sincere enough, and Lucas's sexually menacing signatures are absent from his earlier output. No Fibonacci numbers, no telomeres, no fertile Zoomer poonaners, no rants about ageists, just good old fashioned neckbeard atheism. He also expressed interest in Occupy, and what were at the time edgy liberal politics.

He made atheist themed bumper stickers and promoted them on Twitter; he also promoted his tragically lost websites.

He seldom was able to find Christians to argue with, and he reserved his greatest scorn for agnostics. Interestingly enough, he claimed to have been an agnostic for 15 years before seeing the light. This suggests a curious Saul on the Road to Damascus moment.

During this period, Lucas also acknowledged the mental health diagnosis associated with his first hospitalization in 2000 (bi-polar 2 w/ schizotypal) and debuted the claim that one cannot be an atheist and mentally ill.

Though characteristically angry, juvenile, dumb and derivative, Lucas was at least more or less coherent and generally socially appropriate.

I believe the timeline suggests that following his break up, incarceration, and homelessness, he rapidly assumed the form we recognize today and love to laugh at. A comparison to his current social media output illustrates how much worse he's grown over time.

One can only imagine what form he will assume at the end of this current saga, or how awful he'll be if he makes it another 10 years.
