Probably another excuse of well I wanted to try this time but (x) was stopping me and also narcissists like Lucas tend to readily believe their own lies that they tell others without any hint of self awareness. It seems over time though Lucas has gotten somewhat more realistic about his grandiose plans, a job an apartment and a kitchen to cook in are realistic obtainable goals. For Lucas in his given situation though it’s now as much as a grandiose fantasy as his time travel machine to win the power bowl.
I was laughing too when he said I don’t want them to make the bed for me I want to make the bed myself, I doubt that but it’s so funny he denies it’s a nursing home when they have to change sheets for him.

He'll always blame someone else when he fails; that's how his mom raised him, he was perfect and good, it was always bullies and nasty people that caused him to fail.
Whenever Lucas has failed at something, if you look back at all of his many mistakes, he always blames someone else, it's never HIS fault.

Exactly this. It's really only a question of how grandiose his excuses/targets to blame are. It ranges from individual people/his parents to charitable orgs, to government departments, to entire generations or religious groups etc. It feels like the size of the "conspiracy" against Lucas has grown in size and complexity over time but the constant theme is that it's never his fault.

Sure. These places and people are there to serve and help him. They need to do more for him, they aren't doing enough.
This interview with the Owls (wigger and/or autistic) wasn't all that great. Although, Lucas said he is now willing to date women up to age 35. I bet he retracts that. That was the only thing interesting I heard. I still do not believe that Lucas is planning on finding work beyond his e-begging and his insult videos. And he would be beside himself if he saw his tardbux go down with his sudden part time employment.
Who really would be upset would be Mallon Place if the rent money was not all there. Since Lucas is basically a ward of the state, not sure how him getting a part time job would work with all his other government entitlements.
With Mallon Place and Lucas, I do not believe this summer that Lucas could just say "the rent is too damn high, I'm out of here" and then pack his hobo sack and go back to living at the bus depot. Since he is a ward of the state he would probably need an approved home-plan and living at bus stations and whatever hobo shelter will take him, would not work.
Lucas would basically have to get himself booted out of Mallon Place. He really is where he needs to be. He is under control and his tugboat has been almost entirely intercepted. It has hurt our cow content for sure, though. We all know Lucas is capable of getting evicted from Mallon Place. But will he? We all thought he would have been booted before now.
If he is willing to date women up to 35, I'd say it is because he is desperate to get out of Mallon Place and get his check back to spend.

Yes, but the reason Lucas is behaving is likely just because of his rotting diabetes feet. They might be the only reason he got accepted into Mallon Place. We'll see what happens when spring comes and Lucas can waddle around.
