I can't say i'm the least bit surprised. If there is one positive thing you can say about lucas its that he's consistent and predictable to an almost absurd point. Somehow I suspect his story isn't entirely true either. He's trying to word it in a way that implies he spazzed out in the street again and came close to taking a header off the bridge and then suicide baited his way into stabilization again. The far more likely scenario is he flipped his shit in mallon place and got a 96 hour psych hold for an evaluation forced on him by staff. and while on medication no less.
This was absolutely lucas being an entitled predatory creep and throwing an almost BPD tier temper tantrum, fully aware and in control of his own actions like his tantrums almost always are. This is obvious by the fact that as soon as he got out he is already trying to suicide bait again and try to play up peoples sympathies by claiming he was going to jump off a bridge. This is far from the first time he's done this exact thing immediately after being discharged after one of these timeouts. Remember the 'but you wouldn't do anything to save my life?!' screaming rant video he made after deliberately working himself up into a psychotic rant and suicide baiting himself into a psych hold after getting kicked out of a shelter. Neither hospitals nor mallon place are stupid, they know what he's doing and it has no doubt put him on very thin ice for his behavior at best. Assuming he hasn't gotten the boot already or is otherwise waiting on the outcome of the psych eval to determine whether its ok to allow him to stay in the same place as the woman who is clearly setting him off. They don't want shit escalating and there being an incident or lucas getting his ass beat by the new boyfriend in the hallway

He's done it multiple times before and always refers to it as suicide ideation, as he doesn't understand what that actually means or how bad saying that looks as its admitting to essentially telling people he wants to kill himself for attention because he's angry at not getting what he wants, like a 20 year old girl with BPD. In lucas's mind if someone offers him a prime rib dinner he'd jump right on it and stuff his face regardless of whether he liked the person offering it or not. So he assumes everyone else would do essentially the same thing because they are being offered an expensive dinner. He doesn't understand that a) people have different tastes, b) people understand that said offers imply an obligation for more than just dinner from alot of men, especially men like lucas, and will avoid taking said offers because they know that (and he clearly did imply such as hes going out of his way to claim there were totally no obligations on her part, which in lucas's way of thinking means that was exactly what was going on in his head), and c) people don't want to have to put up with people they want nothing to do with just for a decent meal
