Alright fellow Wern watchers, his 41st birthday is in 17 days.

Many people share birthdays with famous celebrities or historical figures. I just learned that I share my birthday with Lucas Werner. I wish I could go back in time to when I was ignorant of this fact. Probably one of the last people I would want to have ANYTHING in common with.

I was thinking about making a video reading comments from his (and Klickitat's) videos from the past year. A sort of celebration for one of the worst years of Lucas' life. And the first one where he's actually in the ideal age range. What a shame.

That would be amazing, the comments (especially on Lucas' videos where he forgot to delete them or turn them off) are usually all pretty good.

The simplest way to keep people like lucas from wanting to treat the psych ward as a vacation would be to feed them nothing but nutraloaf. Then only people who absolutely needed to be there would be and anyone else would make every effort to ensure they stayed out or got out as quickly as possible

That said i'm surprised he hasn't gotten in serious shit for trying to put moves on vulnerable women in all of his psych ward trips so far. Those women are the last type that lucas should be allowed anywhere near. After all what if some desperately lonely woman actually let him do something due to her mental problems, then realized she was being taken advantage of in the middle of it, freaked out and lost her shit, spooking lucas into trying to shut her up to keep from getting in serious trouble and leading to him doing her serious harm. Its exactly the kind of place i'd expect him to be most likely to cause a rapey scenario. Especially if he found some compulsive liar type patient or whatever that he convinces himself nobody would believe even if she told the truth and claimed he tried to pull something with her

Those doctors had better be watching lucas like a hawk, medicated or not he's still a risk, especially when he thinks he can get away with something

Ehhh I wouldn't want that. I would rather a few assholes like Lucas (who to be fair IS severely mentally ill) get a free ride every once in a while than for people who need treatment to be treated like shit. People already avoid psychiatric care when they need it because of stigma and other things, we shouldn't want to make it even worse and discourage people from getting the help they need just because there will always be dipshits who abuse the system.

Now I might be completely wrong because I'm not familiar with the modern nut hut but I can only imagine the day to day. Im guessing the Spokane sanitarium isn't the most "exciting" place to attend. Now with that said Lucas Werner is a unique cat, and when a guy like that walks into your life he might pique your professional interests. I know he has kept my attention.
Don't assume that the last video of Lucas with his woe-is-me shit is his mood and attitude throughout this involuntary stay. When he is all engines go he is fascinating. When he's medicated he's exactly the same just calm. A Doctor Loomis type guy could make a career off The Wern.

Depends what he does really and the circumstances. When it comes down to it lucas is a moron and his mental health, isn't particularly good, it isn't on the level of him not being able to understand the idea of consequences for his actions, nor is he unable to tell right from wrong. Those are the criteria that normally have to be met for people like lucas to try to pull the insanity bullshit if they end up doing something that puts them on trial and facing a jail sentence.

Acting like a screaming retard for dumb shit is easy enough but it isn't enough to get out of a serious situation like, as you said, attacking someone, attempted rape, being creepy with a kid or whatever other questionable behavior might try to use it to get out of. Acting like that doesn't do him any good when the bar that fucks him is 'does he know there is a difference between right and wrong,' which he does and has proven repeatedly that he does, including on video by making a point of being careful where he pulls his behavior and with who. Further demonstrated by the fact he ree'd for years claiming it was perfectly legal to go after 16 year olds until it finally got pounded into his head that it wasn't and now he acts like its 18 - 24 only and like he never tried to do anything with anyone younger. Which shows an attempt to cover his tracks, which means he knows the behavior was wrong

In other words, lucas is a moron who thinks he can play the 'i'm crazy! the government says so' card for anything that might pop up, not realizing it has significant limits

The worse option here is that this is what he views as "stand up comedy", because we all know his main defense to saying stupid, cringey shit is what amounts to "YOU JUST DON'T GET MY HUMOR! I'M A COMEDIAN!"

The mental illness option is a bit sad but if this was something he posted thinking, "I am a comedic genius!" it's just pure fucking, uncut cringe.

Just picture him at some shitty club with an open comedy mic, getting up on stage and confidently saying this out loud to other people and expecting them to go into hysterical laughter but getting nothing but silence.

According to...What I think is a trustworthy source, "he was threatened with charges for yelling at the nurse at HOC or to go inpatient. He chose inpatient."

When I asked the person, they claim they know someone who works at Deaconess.

I've known the person for a while and they've been a Wernologist for even longer so I don't see why they would lie to me, but don't take my words for 100% facts.

He’s been absent for 10 days now, that’s a really long inpatient stay. I’ve had to go a few times for attempted suicide and only had to stay 4/5 days. Honestly the best thing for him would be staying in a long-term mental health facility, because like someone else said, as soon as he’s unsupervised he stops taking meds and quits therapy. He may be at the point where even if he does stay on meds and therapy I don’t think it’s going to help him very much.

Ok so I’ve had court dates that I missed while hospitalized, he’ll have a case worker at the hospital who will contact courts/probation officers, etc. if he has a court date or probation appt they’ll just reschedule

Can you imagine if he does act out and some DA gets his file plopped on their desk and to prove his culpability has to pour through hours and hours of content? Some of us have been taking small doses of Wern over the years but to have to watch it all at once might be fatal.
