Hope they won't allow him to have internet access. Not for his own good, but because some retards trying to squeeze milk from a long dead cow are gay and unfunny. Nevermind that him ending the lovequest this way is too fucking perfect to spoil it with anything after. Also getting locked in a tard home and being treated as a 'slow-in-the-mind' is a fate worse than death for him.

§ 17.1-219.1. Transportation orders; authorization for clerk to issue orders to custodian.

In a criminal proceeding, upon authorization by the judge, the clerk of a circuit court may issue orders for commitment of the defendant or orders for release of the defendant to the appropriate custodian when the judge has ordered the defendant (i) to be committed to custody upon a denial of bail, upon a revocation of bail or upon a change in bail condition, (ii) to be continued in custody upon a continuance of the proceeding, or (iii) to be released upon meeting bail requirements, upon being sentenced to time already served or upon being found not guilty.

2002, c. 832.
Assuming I'm reading #3 correctly, a transportation order may be issued to bound Chris over to a custodian (Group Home) which puts that option directly on the table assuming he needs to be brought there by authorities or by specialized transport (ambulance etc.).

Maybe they set the bond super low since he has been in for most of the time he would serve anyways. I think that or an opportunistic Ralph after a new captive to be a nanny.
good point, we dont know how much money it even WAS

perhaps you could argue that for many people, any amount of money required to release Chris from prison is too much money, but for others... it's just the equivalent of funding their hobbies

Nah, if somebody managed to bail the fucker out, I strongly suspect they had enough dosh to fund a temporary hotel stay.

I mean, the only people who give a shit about Chris are either here on the farms, or one of the orbiter groups that all use Chris for their own ends. Way too unlikely it was anybody else.
Fair, and if only for the milk's sake, I hope he has some roof over his head, it wouldn't be as fun that way

How many guards of the barbussy do we think will be camping outside of his house just waiting for him to get arrested again?

He may be out free, but I highly doubt he can survive on his own well. How would he access his tugboat, for example? How will he find shelter? As for the person who bonded him out, do they have any close contact with Chris or are they just some rando with a lot of money who won't see him? Or worse, do they live out of the state of Virginia? I don't know too much about bond processes and laws well, but to me, this is actually hurting Chris's life than helping him. I personally wanted him in group home so he can get the help he needs and not be exposed to the public, but sadly that's not happening.
