I can't read this thread because it seems like 2/3 posts are by lazy fucks who still think the Barbed-Penis Bandit is out on bond.

CHRIS WAS RELEASED BY COURT ORDER. -- THE VINE WEBSITE INITIALLY FUCKED UP AND FIXED THAT DETAIL HOURS LATER.

The OP and the Cwiki were both updated shortly after VINE corrected their error. Learn to read, you dang dirty trolls because your posts about bail are weak as water!

Assuming the bonded out message was a mistake, or that the message changing means Chris wasn't bonded out, is jumping to conclusions itself. The change could be explained by a multitude of other reasons. It's possible bonded out just meant Chris's bond had been paid and the status changed when he was actually released; it's possible that it's related to the sealing of the case, making the reason for Chris getting out more vague; it could even be a clerical quirk relating to Chris's deferred disposition. That's not to say Chris was for sure bonded out, but nothing's actually confirmed he wasn't, no matter how likely or unlikely anyone here thinks it is by now. The "he was sent to a group home" narrative, while entirely possible, isn't confirmed either and we shouldn't be talking about it like it's definitive. Even the CWCki doesn't actually take a strong stance on it, for good reason.

Obviously nothing is certain, especially when it is the Teflon Tard we are talking about, but Chris was being held without bond so it still wouldn't be possible for one to be posted anyway.

We know he had several status hearings recently so it is possible his attorney arranged something due to him being held for almost two years without bond or indictment. It's just tiring how so many people are just running with the "weens bailed out Chris Chan" shit.

I even made it clear on the Jail Sage page, while dispelling the whole "Samson Jekyll" thing I might add, that whether or not he got bailed out is not entirely known for sure. This doesn't necessarily entail that it's entirely impossible that someone actually did, it's just that we don't have enough info to conclude anything.

Presumably, but at this point I don't think there's any way for us to know that. There may never be unless he or someone who can get into contact with him confirms that detail. I see no reason why the conditions of his release/probation/etc. would be made public info.

The original restraining order may have expired by now and it's possible that no filing to have it continued and/or made permanent was made because Chris was in custody. We don't even know whether Chris is aware of Barb's location.
