Brother, that's already the fucking game and this thread...They should add an smg with heatseeking bullets and a 1s ttk to the game.
If anyone complains just remind them that bullets hurt people and dont change it at all.

Oh yeah I'm fucking sure Bungie biggest demographic is Iranians and Trump just blew their fucking demographic away. Literally!
Please tell me this is because they made the zoom stat work the way it used to in D2 (unintentionally, iirc) where putting on a higher-zoom scope increased the damage dropoff range of your gun a ton.One of the SMG's has a thermal scope that says it has an effective range of 40 meters but it actually has a range of 60 meters.
25,000 at that hour seem like a pretty good number for a "niche" game. But we all know Bungie need this to be better than niche.I don't know bro... seems death to me lol 10:00 AM Eastern EU time

Not that great for a free niche game, though.25,000 at that hour seem like a pretty good number for a "niche" game. But we all know Bungie need this to be better than niche.
It's a beta. People won't want to play before the full game is out in 3 days. They may think they will lose their progress between the two. And there are loads of nextfest demos to try and RE9 stealing a lot of the streamers who would jump on this for content. Not that great for a free niche game, though.

i mean it's 25K counting the fact that it is bungie with sony as the publisher not including their attempt at getting destiny2 players on it too...Not that great for a free niche game, though.
That's what happened with my play group Sunday night when we talked about the lvl 30 bonus kit. It's just not worth it and all the prog is being wiped. People went on to check out RE9.It's a beta. In terms of a beta it's done very well. I don't think it's worth the cost but I'd be interested to see more. Personally I'm tempted to buy it and see if I can get into it when they patch it up a bit. But it's Bungie so I know I will just be disappointed
IDK much about og Marathon, but Halo literally brought FPS to home consoles and was the first FPS on console that didn't use tank controls from what I remember. Halo 1 introduced the twin stick controls all console FPS games use, it introduced the two weapon system to make the game's sandbox more challenging, which is also something all FPS games started doing after it. It's also the game that started the "Regenerating health" trend with the energy shields. Halo was pretty much the First FPS with player controlled vehicle combat, it also had pretty advanced AI for the time.
Watching this review. Can we stop pretending that Bungie innovated ANYTHING?
* Marathon: Doom/Wolfenstein cline nobody played/hear/cares about.
* Halo: Unreal/Half-life clone for the PS. Literally nothing new gamemodes and weapons were 1-to-1 copies
* Destiny: literal FIFA/MADDEN tier game-as-a-service-slop. If you play Destiny you are NOT a gamer lol console scrub
Maybe the twinstick is a case to be made but there were other games that made use of PS's twinstick before.IDK much about og Marathon, but Halo literally brought FPS to home consoles and was the first FPS on console that didn't use tank controls from what I remember. Halo 2 is the entire reason Xbox Live became a thing.
As for Destiny, There are plenty of things to complain about the game and Bungies managment of it but "Lmao if you play Destiny you're not a gamer" is some nigger logic.
Halo innovated with vehicle and weapon sand box. nothing else did quite the same thing even today.

Aliens was the first to do twin stick. Resurrection I think it was called?was the first FPS on console that didn't use tank controls from what I remember. Halo 1 introduced the twin stick controls all console FPS games use
No. Xbox live was happening, Bungie were told to use it.Halo 2 is the entire reason Xbox Live became a thing.
I think also people ignore that Half Life's PS2 port wasn't very good. People thought the game felt old on the newer console and it had some bugs the PC port didn't from what I remember.Halo innovated with vehicle and weapon sand box. nothing else did quite the same thing even today.

FPS existed before Halo. It existed after. It was a well polished game using the fundamentals on a console. It made networking easy and that was it.
Meaning they blatantly ripped off a mechanic of another game and got all the credit.the game that popularized it
So game's just shouldn't take what works and use it? Mario was pretty much the first successful side-scrolling platformer. Should everyone else have just eaten shit and figured something else out? "Sorry Sonic and other 2-D platformers you can't make a sidescrolling platforming game with jumping, Mario called dibs."Meaning they blatantly ripped off a mechanic of another game and got all the credit.
Common place in the game industry. Clash of Kings did the same...
