Why doesn’t anyone know how to use their brain and pattern recognition. I knew from this single frame the game as DOA.

This is the tranny that didn’t want proximity chat cause they’d get clocked,

This freak decided that they know better than what the costumers want. “No I know better than hundreds of millions of dollars, I will burn it all”

Trannies love cyber punk because they think they can become a real robot woman. Everyone else knows cyber punk anything is gay as fuck and full of losers. Same reason all the commies think they would be the scholars of the society union and not the mulch.

I dont think looting anything on the map is worth it... I made like 9k off a purple key card 'marked room' for a lack of a better term, a pack of meds cost me 1.2k to put this into perspective. We got the most loot from killing enemy players and accomplishing tasks as they were given to us. This might be retarded, but I seriously think youre better off just doing tasks, killing runners who get in your way, and ignoring anything pve.
this is the most not good thing that could ever be said about an Extraction Shooter's future, btw.

its just Team Death Match with shit to collect and healing and ammo is annoying, its fucking sunk.

for comparison, in ARC, the Epic Key Rooms on nightraids (or other loot intensifying conditions) will have, in all likelyhood absolutely fucking oodles of treasures in them, and thus there is a reason to not only use the key.. but if someone else uses the key, get inside or camp the exits to kill the looters.

I was really big into UT2k3, but it just wasnt that good. Then when UT2k4 came out and to this day I believe its one of the best FPS games ever made and UT2k4 is a total asset flip of UT2k3.

I can appreciate that asset flipping might be evidence of how lazy a developer is and the quality of the game will be, but at the same time what's the point in reinventing the wheel? Why waste the development time when you already have something there that works?
Majora's Mask was an asset flip and there's a lot of people out there who think it's a better game than Ocarina of Time.

its a fucking sequel, and the same kind of game.

Marathon is an entirely different genre of game than Destiny 2, using the Titan Punch is wrong, it shouldn't be in the game, same with other Gaurdian powers, some of these use the SAME animations.
If the game is, in its skeleton, just an asset flip, then the looting and exploration should be more fleshed out, I mean they had all that dev time right? oh wait the maps are flat and small? the looting sucks?

Ahh jeez dood, its fucked.

This is incredibly easy to fix, it's just a number value.

Your describing Battle Royals.

Camping corners and staring at the ground looking for loot is why I stopped playing Tarkov.

Welcome to the Bungie universe where every FPS game is an indirect sequel of another FPS game they've made.

I'm not tracking this logic.

I've got some complaints about this game, all of which is just polishing and rebalancing, problems that every game has in this genre, but one complaint I don't have is that it feels unfinished.
Ahh jeez dood, its fucked.

I think there are people who desperately need this game to fail, the reality is at its worst this is a mediocre attempt at the extraction shooter genre.

I'm not defending Marathon. I don't really care about it to be honest. I only checked out this thread because I kept seeing people online complaining about this game and other people complaining about the people complaining and the thread happened to be at the top of new posts. The conversation about actual good asset flip games just happened to be more interesting to me than Marathon.

And yeah Majora's Mask was a sequel, but it was still an asset flip made in a year.

I think my biggist gripe with the game is the wasted opportunity for this game to have alternet mode along side the extraction shooter. You could easly cut up parts of the map and have pvp game modes like ffa tdm or ctf on them were the winners git loot or do a firefight like mode with the robots for loot. All that would only add to the game and help it stick out more and git a better hold on an audience than what they have now.

What Bungie should've done is made a single player campaign in the vein of HALO or *gasp* like the old versions of Marathon, but add a twist: When you finally die in the Campaign, the Extraction mode unlocks. Make it a bonus that will at least make people check it out and then build off that momentum if there is any.

That or rip-off Witchfire's single player concept, and you can unlock co-op.

Adding this real quick: Just play Witchfire instead of this... thing called a game. It's made by at least one painkiller dev who actually still enjoys game dev & playing games, actually has a vision instead of making Sony happy & is fun.

I don't need anything, I know Bungie, either as good as you, or far better, depending.
Bungie is a lesser company than they were 5 years ago, and 10 years ago even lesser still, I've watched tons of footage on this, it isn't a good extraction shooter, it is stylish, it is very polished, it is simply at its core, missing the point.

They made big Crucible Maps where all the aspects of combat are tedious because it has the extraction lens where healing and ammo has to be scarce, however, the core problem is "small extraction maps (or really big Crucible maps as I said), this will kill the game, it will just be for the people who grinded out Crucible, but now there's PVE enemies in it.

If you think this games success and acceptance is going to go on a positive, upward scale from here, you are fucking delusional, Bungie will fail to deliver content, it is SIMPLY WHAT THEY DO, and that will kill the game beyond all the other things I've listed just as hard.

Look buddy anything other than the bare minimum cuts in to the trannys goon time. We cant have that can we now.

This game WILL fail and probably take bungie down with it.
Youre coping if you think otherwise

I'm pretty sure there are a lot more cucks at bungie than there are troons. That's the vibe i get.

I dont really care either way, I'm not some fag destiny fan or otherwise a person with a bone to pick. I doubt this will be what kills that studio.

it is very polished,
But it isn't polished. A polished game doesn't have such a bad tutorial. I couldn't tell if I was meant to die or the enemies were overly hard. And I saw streamers doing the same and then skipping the tutorial. If your tutorial kills the player and they have no idea if it's intended you fucked up your tutorial.

The environments are full of useless clutter with no easy way to read what's important. Is the big red box a medi kit, a storage box or background noise? The answer is yes. It's all of them. Colour coding important items of part of polish. Marathon does this terribly.

The map is a pain to get around. It looks like an unfinished Destiny map they dropped random buildings in. There's no flow to your movement or obvious ways to travel. There's nothing encouraging a team to move together. I only played the beginner map but that makes it even worse. A polished game will encourage team work through map design. A newbie map should funnel players to pick ups and important aspects of the game. Not be this big open mess of everything and nothing. This is your learning map after your bad tutorial and it doesn't do anything Bungie used to be so good at.

Bungie were the polish studio. They could refine anything into being fun.. this isn't fun.

They're struggling after Destiny 2 and they need this to be a success. This isn't some 1 year turn around asset flip. Compare this to Nightreign because it's basically the same thing. Nightreign took between a quarter and a third of the time Marathon did to make. It uses basically the same amount of assets being reused. There isn't a comparison here. And that's without Nu Bungie consistently underperforming as part of their business plan. They don't have some huge DLC to announce that will draw in loads of excited players. They have mediocre content to fill in busy work and no one is getting on board for that.

Witchfire mentioned! It's one of the few games I happily paid full price for and don't regret it because it all feels so fucking good. I ran penitent and got my ass beat but it was worth it once I got all the achievements which isn't something I normally do for any game unless I really really like it. For all the fellow Destiny fags, it is worth it.

I downloaded the server slam and played through the tutorial. I died at the end but that was because i was trying to figure out how to heal yourself. If i could sum up everything i dislike about modern video game design, it would probably be this game. besides the environment, i don't think there's a single thing this game does that is competent or fun. the jumping and walking feels shitty, the shooting feels shitty, the user interface is purposefully cluttered with weird star trek LCARs stuff that isn't fucking doing anything and they even had to put in a shitty overwatch ultimate that doesn't do anything.

tarkov got popular because the game and the meta game are two completely separate things influencing each other and trying to streamline the whole extraction shooter formula into a speedrunable experience while also trying to keep the game atmospheric and aesthetic is just purposefully contradictory and retarded. this is just a bad game
