And of course, the devs imported something from Destiny 2 and forgot to fix it

Also if you lost items to cheaters or hackers in the server slam apparently you're able to still claim them which is fucking hilarious

I'm watching Lord Frogmire's stream and why does the loot menu have to load each item like if it was some RNG lootbox?
It's something most extraction games do that was started by Tarkov, it's to make it so you can't just kill someone and steal their shit without clearing the area first. basically it adds some risk to looting instead of just having everything loaded right away. Arc Raiders does it as well.

Brother I was expecting at least 150k players on launch ... where are they? wtf

People gave Xbox 360 and PS3 era shooters tons of shit for their dull brown and green color pallete but at least in those games I could tell what the fuck is going on.

I'm watching a stream rn and it's a cotton candy colored neon nightmare, It actually hurts me eyes.

Even Dead By Daylight an actual troon game doesn't have as much fucking pink and purple neon as this game does.

The game hates you even visually, not even numerals on the visuals like you ..
Not even numerals

I was never going to play this because I'm a single player RPG and strategy dude but even if shooters were my thing I genuinely don't think I could look at this technicolor visual vomit for a prolonged period of time.

You know that shittyflute version of the Mission Impossible theme? That should be the official song of the Concord like genre.

Man the peak player count haven’t broke WokeGuard’s numbers yet. Wonder what we will see this weekend before the numbers start its usual decrease?

i really like how it went from "stop killing games" to "we're executing games with a hi-point in the middle of times square"

While funny, it was going to die anyway. Most if not all of these games will go offline at some point regardless of their level of success. And they'll be gone forever.
At no point did Highguard devs consider ensuring that players who invest time and money in their game get to keep it if something like this were to happen, but they sure as fuck put a lot of effort into making MTX production pipeline.
It's funny to think that gamers take out Concords one after another behind the barn. But in truth they fail due to their inherent flaws, shitty management and unreasonable expectations by developers and publishers/investors alike.

I can only think of one case where dying service game converted to singleplayer/coop title you can play at your leisure, and it's a pretty cool one in this case. Called Wayfinder, by Airship Syndicate of one Joe fucking Madureira.
Their publisher closed the shop and left them hanging, putting entire studio in peril. Instead of letting their work go to waste, they reworked the game in a short period of time to enable singleplayer and remove dependence on servers. I recommend checking it out.
