Mario Bros. Set to Jump to Big Screen in Movie Deal with Universal’s Illumination - Paging Movie Bob, Paging Movie Bob...

Universal slam dunking Disney in the past two years be like:

I guess it shoes my thoughts
The shoe that fits? How quaint. Seriously, there is an edit button, it is your best friend.
I guess it shoes my thoughts when it comes to current day Disney, I can't even recognize what is and what is not a theme park anymore.
With whatever is considered a failure or success, there isn't any meaning to either at this rate.

Jesus, this thing is still pulling crowds in my town and the area is basically a retirement village. Evil Dead Rise and GOTG3 came and left in seconds by comparison.
Even Universal's own Fast X, a new installment in the Fast & Furious franchise, can't even compete with the new Mario movie, especially that Fast X has a whopping $350 million budget and that really needs to break even worldwide.

And not just Disneyshills, but also Resident Evil, Tomb Raider and Pokeshills (and even Sonicfags) are still on suicide watch.
dunno what tomb raider animation you're talking about, or "shills" because the oldfags got their jolie movies and are happy with it. nu-lara was always just pandering.

unless you mean video game movies in general, then who cares? just because it's adapted from a a videogame instead of a book usually hasn't much effect on the movie itself..

That's what I was literally trying to say here. 2018 Vikander bullshit was boring as sin, but was praised by nu-Raider tards and social media fags who pose themselves as actual TR fans and act as if it "broke the video game movie curse" when it never existed in the first place as a lot of video game movies are shit. And a sequel was already set to be cancelled and Vikander doesn't have a big movie career afterwards (no, The Green Knight does not count as it's also an indie movie) as she starred in less in less movies and all of which were indie flicks, and it's all because of her stupid decisions.

Hory shieto. I was expecting it to do gangbusters, but not THIS well. Bob Iger on suicide watch, lol.
Well shit remmber when people thought this was going to be a big bomb. Man what a sight

Let them cry and moan

Even before it came out, not a lot of people would believe it would bomb because of the Illumination name. Remember, Illumination movies, despite the quality of these movies, still do hard cash due to marketing reasons.

True. But I remmber how people kept hyping up it was going to be offer because Pratt was cast as Mario.

And even a couple years before the cast was made official, people on either /v/, /tv/ or even /co/ were making jokes about how Adam Sandler was to voice as Mario. The whole copypasta behind this where the boards imagine their own fake trailer on the movie with Ke$ha's "Tik Tok" is just hysterical.

it is a damn shame that media has gotten so fucking bad now that people will go to see uninspired reference-heavy schlock like this just to get away from the awfulness of everything else
And then consoomers will defend this because of the said memberberries references. Most of mainstream media based on IPs is pretty much the equivalent to a Seltzerberg movie.
