If there’s more than a few cm of water in the outside of the door the door won’t open and the window won’t roll down (even more so these days with everything electric.) keep a window break hammer in the central console. I’ve heard that in a pinch you can use the seatbelt buckle as well but I do t know how true that is. Nightmarish to think about
You can also pull off the headrest and use the prongs.
 
Stuxnet didn't require precision timing to make a boat run into a fucking bridge in a way that would've completely failed if it hadn't lost power at just the right moment. There are so many easier, infinitely more reliable ways to make a boat run into a bridge.

That's movie villain stuff.

The RBMK reactor in Ukraine showed the true power of socialist engineering stature.
It's more than that. It was a reactor designed to be manufactured cheaply and shoddily, to run off of unenriched fuel, and to be effective at making plutonium for atom bombs during the Cold War. In result, it was a very dangerous construction that under the right circumstances would end with a violent steam explosion, with no containment structure to contain it, and all of that happened in 1986.

Their VVER reactors however are the other side of Soviet engineering, taking an existing Western construction, in this case a PWR reactor, and modifying it in some way, with VVER's biggest difference being the hexagonal fuel rods. Those are actually decent and those are the ones that are still operating in Ukraine and the one Poland would've gotten if not for Chernobyl and people's lack of knowledge of the time that led to the project being scrapped.

EDIT: I forgot the most important part, the RBMK reactor wasn't just a showcase of Soviet engineering, but Soviet mentality as a whole. No regard for safety or consequences, just do it as quickly and cheaply as possible to one-up the Yankees, only for it to backfire extremely hard in the end. The VVER is more strictly a symbol of how Soviet engineers took Western constructions, adapted them to whatever they felt like they needed and rolled with it, sometimes with bad, and sometimes with very decent results.

Accusations pique curiosity and entices people to investigate the details. If the cause was due to faulty maintenance work by underqualified H-1B laborers, for example, the appropriate response would be to voice opposition against the ideology that enables it.

I think you watch too much Deadliest Catch... The Chesapeake Bay is far from "Frigid" right now.

Temperatures of the Patapsco river for the past week have been a steady 49 F. According to NTSB and Coast Guard calculations you can swim in that for 30-60 minutes before exhaustion and 1-3 hours before death. Boats were on scene within minutes. If you could get out of your car and away from wreckage you'd be cold but probably alright.

Or you'd die immediately from cold shock.

 
After a healthy education of watching a dozen ship crash videos, these big civilian ships turn like ass. It will take miles for them to change course.

Now we need to know why it lost power. If it was poor maintenance, expect a giant sue-ance.

Bonus fact, harbor pilots are local steersmen who know the area, this was important in older times when a captain couldn't memorise all the hidden reefs in every port he visited.

Imagine having to choose between being crushed to death or drowning in your car due to retarded H-1B workers not doing the needful. All H-1B workers should be sent back to their respective shitholes, whether that be Eastern Europe, the Middle East or India.
