Mass Effect (4?) - N7 Day

Everyone here somehow missed this. This is actually a follow-up to another trailer that they released 3 years ago.
Bioware's follow-up to a three-minute cinematic trailer is a thirty-second cinematic trailer with less information. Is it safe to assume the game is in development hell?
At best it is in complete freeze as Bioware is all hands on deck to get DA4 out the door. Any of the gender specials left at Bioware do not have the talent or ability to actually make a Mass Effect game through so its for the best.

Are they going to double down with DA4 and continue the gay love storyline? I wonder if their obsession with representation is greater than their instinct for survival.

How in the fuck are they going to continue the story from 3? Andromeda got around this by placing the story in another fucking galaxy. So unless this is a spin off they will have to write their way out of the shit ending of 3 or just reboot it.
They will pick one of the endings (or rewrite it).

Apparently there's something about Liara or somebody else receiving a distress signal from Andromeda. I guess they're completely ignoring space and time again.

Andromeda still gives me 'nam flashbacks. It was a such a shitty failure

I never played Andromeda but people who did said the actual gameplay was ok if a bit generic. It was all the other shit like story, characters, ect that was unbearably bad.
Meh, the gameplay was just a big multiclass buffet. Superficially fun, but not nearly as good as ME3 combat, and the multiplayer especially was worse.

They should have done a stealth prequel about one of the creation/destruction cycles before the one from the Shepard trilogy. The big bad would end up being Synthesis Shepard breaking through into that timeline trying to stop you from destroying the Reapers because he doesn't believe you would do what he thought was "the right thing". If they had done a Mass Effect 4 with a reveal like that at the end, people would have gone crazy, but we got the gay Andromeda twins instead.

I really don't get this shit. If I had a public Twitter account where I posted pics of my butthole and talked about my crotch I would be instantly fired by my employer.

If you're a troon though not only is that cool but fuck it you're promoted, here's a bigger office and more money.

What in the actual goddamn fuck?

Well, it's Bioware. I bet they're all walking on eggshells. See Patrick Weekes who became "they/them" a few years ago (probably to keep his job).

The people that belong in the asylum are placed on a pedestal. Even the fans that know that modern Bioware is shit will still neglect to mention what kind of people are running Bioware because they don't want to be transphobic. Instead they will just blame EA as if it's the brand somehow corrupts their studios and not the people managing it.
It's not the corporations that are forcing people to walk on eggshells around a bunch of degenerates. The average consumer genuinely wants to do this.

See Patrick Weekes who became "they/them" a few years ago (probably to keep his job).
In the diversity hierarchy the non-binary rank is considered almost equal to the troon rank. You are not a lowly ally (slave ranks) but at the same time you are still inferior to the trannies.

My expectations were lower than dinosaur bones from the start, so I actually knew this was bound to happen, so I'm not even surprised. I'm pissed (and even depressed) for sure, but not surprised.

There was also a protest at the studio yesterday from sacked employees: Laid-off Dragon Age: Dreadwolf and Mass Effect devs mark N7 Day by protesting outside BioWare HQ / https://archive.is/CFl9t

This was especially telling, considering they've likely experienced the game:
The developers "strongly believe that if Dragon Age: Dreadwolf does not do as well as BioWare or Ea wants at launch, there will be more, even larger layoffs." As such, they "believe it is important to hold BioWare responsible and get a clear decision on what settlement amount is legal" so as to "ensure that the next group who is laid off are not treated as poorly as we were."

Development Hell is the Bioware norm, what's different now is EA bullshit chased away every competent developer who saved any given project with "Bioware Magic", so they dick around for years without the bonus of pulling a diamond out of their ass at the end of it.

The consoomers and reactors barely even noticed when Andromeda came out, the biggest interest by far was among haters laughing at how bad it is.
Unless EA opens the taps and pours money into paying off influencers I fully expect a hypothetical ME4 release to come and go like a wet fart. Everyone who actually cared about the franchise lost interest or actively started hating the studio a decade ago.
Look that game would have been fine if they had renegade. But ohhh did it's absence take the wind out of my sails.

I think Andromeda and ME1 are about on the same level of character, and story quality. Which is not a praise of Andromeda, since ME1 was a hot mess that gets way more leniency than it deserves. But honestly, I'd prefer them to do an Andromeda sequel than try to wrestle more content from the Milky Way. That story was so over that the entire Mass Relay network fucking exploded; and all the interesting people are dead.

Is there anyone that has any trust in Bioware or EA? Forget that Andromeda was a steaming pile of shit for a minute, do you think either company can produce anything of value anymore? Even ME3 infamously shit the bed at the very end, I can only imagine how badly a nu-trilogy will bomb.
Good point of reference would be the new COD MW trilogy, which just the other day finished off with a wet fart that went on for less than 4 hours and people are already asking for refunds. Is this what you want ME to look like?

At this point I have more trust in EA than I do in modern Bioware.
EA doesn't front, you know they're soulless whores. Bioware is a studio that prides itself on storytelling that has lost the ability to write a competent story.

I can't remember where I read this but footage of a dev build of Dreadwolf leaked and apparently it's even less of an RPG than Inquisition was.

The leaker said the combat is similar to the new God of War games which is a fucking awful idea.

Bioware hasn't done anything good since ME2.

Also Dragon Age Origins was intended as a spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate 2 so they must be livid Larian is getting all the fan praise and critical reception they desperately want.

ME:A felt like a remake of ME1 but for modern audiences (zero worldbuilding, lore rape, dumb characters and tumblr fanfic level of writing).
That said, I wish the franchise was more like ME1 than ME2 and 3. Sure, ME1 had some issues but they could have fixed them in a sequel instead of removing them entirely (planet exploration, loadout and gear customization for Shepard and his/her crew, inventory system, squadmates abilities, etc.).
ME:A brought back the inventory system with the ability to craft insane OP gear and weapons and also get the ME1 weapon feel with the "vintage heatsink" that removes the idiotic thermal clip system that was introduced in ME2 to appeal to Gears players.
As for the state of the ME universe, I agree, they should leave the Milky Way alone and focus elsewhere (not Andromeda because the world building is not solid enough to handle a sequel).
