To this day Vickers has no idea how to take an L despite fucking things up and getting owned innumerable times in the past 5 years alone. A normal person fucks up and just wants it to go away and they hope everyone forgets about it. Take care of it as quickly as possible and then brush it under the rug as much as you can. Can’t wait for him to say this was all “a work.” Because Ralph is definitely dumb enough to think he can get some judicial respect for a restrained statement. As if that would make a judge overlook his refusal to pay child support on time (or at all) and him lashing out so insanely that he even got banned from using the court-monitored parental communication app.

About ten pages back I posted that Matt has just enough knowledge to be a danger to himself. He’s in this mess because his dumbass thought he could play some shell game with the IRS, his debtors and banks. Lots of shady business owners purposely run up tons of debt with the intent of declaring bankruptcy. It’s pretty simple fraud and very common, but Matt managed to fuck it all up. Coin shops and precious metal dealers also have an array of shady games they can play due the nature of their business.
Any genius tax fraud scheme he had with the IRS was busted and over a decade ago and has just been getting worse, and increasing in interest, ever since. The only solution for back taxes is to pay them, nothing is going to erase that debt. Maybe Matt thinks he’s got one over on the IRS because he really should own $300k and he’s totally fooled them because they are only demanding $170k.
This entire mess reminds me of his war with Gunt. He was playing similar stupid games with the IRS, bankruptcy court and lenders. His brilliant strategy cost him everything. He would win a few little battles (got an old Camaro to drive, kept living in his house, Disney timeshare vacays, more high interest loans, dragging out bankruptcy proceedings for a decade, etc..) before being totally annihilated in war and losing everything.
Matt’s genius plans just drag out the inevitable humiliating defeat way longer than necessary.

I was never in the loop on the genius anus side character or his backstory, other than he was annoying af and Matt’s little pet. If there was an exact reason for the pedo accusation I’m not up on it, but I’m sure someone else will know if there was.
