I think that kind of delusion of godhood was fermented over time as his bloated ego continued to inflate. Back in MHS, Chris thought he could have "an office job" or "be a cowboy" or "work in a pokeball factory". Then he fancied himself "the mayor of CWCville IN REAL LIFE", and he started thinking he's "Chris Chan Sonichu in the toon world" while also being the "great director". Then the "Idea Guys" screwed over what was left of his sanity, and he started thinking he's the "goddess" of "Blue Heart".

Finally the decay led Chris to think he's Christ.

Other autistic people are taught about theory of mind and how they don’t have it so they need to learn to believe it exists (or whatever; I’m not a tard doctor, I’ve just watched some documentaries). Chris didn’t get those lessons. He believes he is the only person in existence who can daydream. He believes these daydreams are like astral projection. After reading the letter I have thought of a possibility to why this may be but first;

Literally nothing has changed. This letter is just as chocked full of self insert Jesus references, references to pop culture and “I din’du nuffin’” as any of the other letters, The only thing remarkable about this letter is Chris is surprising foresight to not go into any details about what went on there. And this is what leads me to my theory about “Chris throwing Barbs under the bus “.

I have a feeling that due to the hospital‘s location, Chris got a lot more access to his attorney during the last two months.
Now, this is just my speculation but I really believe that Chris has gotten a lot more information about his case from his attorney and has been coached a lot better on what he needs to do, i’m pretty sure that he went into a lot of details with his attorney about him and Barbara’s history and the attorney wants to play the angle that Chris was groomed or that they are both equal fault.
Honestly getting Barbara to be equally as culpable as Chris in this is the only way I could see Chris ever being able to return to 14 Branchland.

At some point, Chris has to learn to accept consequences, but at 40, I don't think he can/will. As much as he wants to be a part of any community, Chris simply will not conform and has to force people to accept his odd behavior (ex: Attraction sign; force his made up Pokémon to be used in a tournament, gets banned, uses a glitter bomb)

I get where this is coming from, because it's very Chris to be primarily sad that another piece of his childhood slipped away from him, but he's not completely heartless, he was definitely genuinely sad that his dad died. I'd say it's more a sign of how much more fucked his brain is now and, probably more relevantly, just how far he'll go to deflect blame from himself. Once he's backed into the corner and can't blame anyone but himself for everything, he turns against the only two people he could maintain a relationship with for longer than a few years, one of whom is dead and the other one close to being dead.

Also there are some serious implications about Chris's claim even though it probably didn't happen exactly as he said it did. And also suggestions that it obviously didn't happen as he said it did.

The first assumption, pretty obvious, is that he immediately admitted to his mother that he'd seen a prostitute. Otherwise, how could she react to that admission? This is pretty standard Chris, without anything resembling a filter. However, lacking that filter, he didn't immediately admit to it publicly that Barb had said this, and he would have if it had happened the way he's claiming now, because he's Chris.

If not, he would have admitted it to someone else who immediately would have rushed off to grab their Internet clout.

So my guess is she said something suggestive and weird at some point, Chris didn't consider it meaningful, and he dragged it up out of his failing memory and then warped it to justify his current bullshit.

Chris reminds me a little of Benjy from "The Sound and the Fury".

Incidentally, that's exactly who I was thinking of. Or Vardaman from As I Lay Dying. If he was an adult but with Vardaman's mind.

We can probably draw a few likely conclusions from Chris's bitter ranting that they didn't Interogate Barb.
1. It means that they did very clearly interogate Chris. I'm sure we can all imagine how that went given how Chris likes to share.
2. They likely did very limited interviews with Barb. And there probably is a diagnosis of Dementia or similar cognitive decline. Chris is probably angry because Heilberg may have told him that they probably wont be able to "interogate" her either.
3. This may also be why Chris is pulling from a decade prior to paint Barb as wanting it. "See she didn't have dementia then!"

And to remind the nitpicking weens. It does not matter if "she wanted it" in some dementia confused state. Chris had the legal obligation to not tick his dick in his elderly confused mother.
