MCU Television and Animation Series on Disney + - WandaVision, FATWS, Loki, etc

I’m sorry to anyone who was looking forward to Loki.

I could've sworn this was old news. Is there a source for that article? Drinker's not exactly dropping a link or even showing what site wrote the thing.

EDIT:
Found it. As I said in the other thread, Marvel's wording leaves a lot of wriggle room and doesn't really say Loki didn't want to do the things he did or not. The sceptre just amped up his feelings of hatred towards Thor, which wasn't even the full extent of the invasion plan.

In the first Thor movie, there's a deleted scene that changes the entire context of the movie, where he's more or less guilted into becoming King when Odin is in a coma. So even if it's a retcon, it's keeping more with the original themes of him being a crybaby douchebag who felt genuine betrayal.

Woman can do no wrong. An evil society run by men did that.

It's not just women. Loki and Zemo have been whitewashed because they became popular characters. Disney can't afford to make villains likeable, so they have to give them a stupid back story saying "actually, they aren't bad, it's (excuse) which makes them this way".

The first episode of Loki is out, and the reason that the Time Variance Authority didn't intervene when the Avengers used time travel is that it was "supposed to happen" as part of the Time-Keepers "Sacred Timeline".

What a cop out.

I'm officially tapping out on the MCU.

Its gotten to a point where there is too much material for me to keep up with, and after the grand ending with Endgame, its just hard for me to get invested in anything after.

And WandaVision was a chance to do something different, but they instead went back to their same old stand bys from before, and it makes me think they will always just adhere to that formula forever.

Watched Loki. Like @RumblyTumbly, I'm out.

The show seems to literally just be excising a character and have them do whacky adventure shit with some all powerful police officers. I don't care about any of these characters, I don't like any of these characters, the look of the TVA is meh, the TVA characters are meh, the entire role of the TVA within the established story is meh.

Pacing was rather poor and it feels like the impact of events in the MCU is lessened immensely due to what they have introduced into the lore.

It wasn't as bad as FatWS, and it didn't feel like a giant waste of time like Wandavision...however I am expecting things to get worse.

Is it weird i hope Rene Russo shows up again? I loved she got the scene she deserved in Endgame but I'm kinda hoping for an alternate reality thing or an Obi Wan force ghost of Frigga.

She was one of the better/only good things of Thor 2, so I wouldn't mind her popping up again.

Am I the only one not bothered by the "everything is controlled by space lizards" bit? To me, this just sounds like standard cosmic level Marvel stuff.

I definitely agree about the extra Infinity Stones being "paperweights." I really hope that isn't true and it's just bullshit.

Definitely a much stronger beginning episode than WandaVision or FatWS had. I'm betting the criminal Variant that's also Loki is going to end up being Lady Loki.

I'm curious as to whether or not we'll get any references to Kang given that he's going to be in the upcoming Antman 3 film. With them getting the rights to X-Men they could also use the Timebreakers from the Exiles, and with F4 they could also use or allude to the Council of Reeds.
