Eh, I can probably shell out up to 1200 at a time for a gun. I'm not in any particular rush. Home defense is in my mind, but frankly I live in an upstairs apartment and my landlord is downstairs. He's a cop and armed well. They've gotta get through him to get to me.Budget and goals? What aside 10 round mags do you have to work with law wise?
Damn, I didn't realize I was in the presence of an aristocrat.Hi-Point JXP-10, Marlin Model 1895, Mossberg 590 Shockwave.
One of the only time fudd logic wins - if you only have 10 rounds max, you might as well get something in .45 so you can't have that many rounds anyway, and it's most bang for your buck.We have a 10 round mag limit.
My favorite handgun has always been the 1911. They're beautiful guns. One of the only time fudd logic wins - if you only have 10 rounds max, you might as well get something in .45 so you can't have that many rounds anyway, and it's most bang for your buck.
Concealed carry can be a lot easier with 9mm though, less cartridge pressure means thinner (and lighter) metal on top of a smaller barrel diameter. Do you have a favorite handgun from any media?
I'm a fan of John Moses Browning, me and the boys played Ghosts of Tabor and took a couple of BAR in, only to shred the hardest boss in the game like he wasn't wearing insane armor. Only place I'll ever be able to have a full auto BAR is in VRMy favorite handgun has always been the 1911. They're beautiful guns.

Pistol options :In the process of getting my ID in my gay state. We have a 10 round mag limit.
I'm applying for my general ID as well as a handgun license.

I'm no stranger to the safe operation and maintenance of firearms, this will be my first time owning one, however.
5 or 6k, one guy is pretty much boutique manufacturing them himself. An upside to this is that he's making reliable 30 round mags for them.Wonder what a semi auto BAR goes for.
That thought hurts me because it wouldn't be a BAR if it's not AutomaticWonder what a semi auto BAR goes for.

I mean, Browning sells the MK3 BAR but it looks a lot like a beefy hunting rifle. That thought hurts me because it wouldn't be a BAR if it's not Automatic![]()
The ML40 by Votatu is .86"x.9" while being roughly 5" long, there's also the ML40s that has a pressure switch but they're both for M-LOK. The picatinny variant is larger.Does anyone know a nice <1” OD flashlight? Preferably with a remote.
$7.6k for the OG in semi auto, 6.4k for the modernized weirdo shit.Wonder what a semi auto BAR goes for.
Absolutely heretical that you would promote Russell and Karl's brand here.
Sounds like I could get 5-7 other very nice guns for that price, but I can understand why they're wanted. Wish there was more of a market for it or a friendlier political landscape for people to make functional replicas of older guns outside of just 1911s.$7.6k for the OG in semi auto, 6.4k for the modernized weirdo shit.

I have one on mine because of how slim it is but I haven't bumped it around much at all. It uses a lithium battery with a magnetized charger, so it's easy to charge.
I'll repeat myself in stating all the flashlight geeks I know recommend researching how to make your own flashlight since premade ones are typically crap or incendiary devices, ie olight/streamlight.

I know he’s somewhat of a “troll”/controversial figure but that skinny jean wearing Lucas Botkin (T-Rex Arms Guy) was xeeting the other day that he was supposedly “training his local swat team” or somethingOptics are also good for, you know, seeing what youre shooting at.
I've been told mil-spec is aiming for "cheapest but hopefully reliable" for most stuff.
'Mil-spec' is just a military specification for ________. Trials, bidding and contract requirements are a separate matter, but can involve a mil-spec. The whole process is supposed to ensure a level bidding field while ensuring that the gov't gets what it asked/pays for. People slam mi-spec as only 'good-e-nuf,' when there are plenty of civilian products that are liquid shit. Mil-spec can certainly be exceeded but it's not like most are even bothering to try. Military procurement, just like all government procurement, is supposed to be and anti-graft, tax payer value type process, which works out in theory, but just not always in practice.Never forget. Mil-Spec simply means "The people who did the bare minimum requirement, at the absolute lowest price."
^This. Monkey see, monkey do.but I imagine a lot of the mil-spec fascination is stuff like "wow navy seals use the P226 I have to get one too".
I would think that the powder charge and type (powder burn rate, and powder energy/heat potential) would make the most difference to the baffles.I don't see how grain weight can make that much of a difference in terms of damage and whatnot. In fact, a 77 would be better as you've got less unburnt powder blasting the shit out of your main baffle.
If you aren't a poorfag, the Arisaka E1, and E2s that fit the smaller body, not the DF size body. Or you can get an E-series head from Malkoff (thy make them for Arisaka) in the satin black finish and the lower intensity emitters. Slap it on the scout type body of your choice.Does anyone know a nice <1” OD flashlight? Preferably with a remote.
Handgun: some type of 9mm polymer striker fired gun in 4-4.5" barrel; Glock 17, 19, 47, (Gen3 is you can't get Gen5, and MOS, or non-MOS and get slide milled later). Walther PDP, CZ-P-10, S&W M&P 2.0. <Feel free to get more than one of these in whatever brand/flavor you choose.suggestions for a first-time-buyer's handgun, rifle, and shotgun.
A Les Baer was one of the nicest guns that I've handled and shot, but that is an expensive 1911. A cheap 1911 will function, but I wouldn't recommend that to anyone for a variety of reasons. Unless you spend a bunch of money a 1911 is going to be constant maintenance, and maybe still even if you do.My favorite handgun has always been the 1911. They're beautiful guns.
What if it's a Colt Monitor? That thought hurts me because it wouldn't be a BAR if it's not Automatic
I've messed with and earlier version, and they aren't even beefy. Browning has/had several hunting lines, BAR (Browning Auto Rifle), BPR (" " Pump Rifle), and BLR (" " Lever Rifle).I mean, Browning sells the MK3 BAR but it looks a lot like a beefy hunting rifle.
A long time ago, I was looking into a glass display case in a gun store, at a snub nose revolver with a long and large cylinder.Sounds like I could get 5-7 other very nice guns for that price, but I can understand why they're wanted.
1. Lucas Botkin is a high order faggot that faked it 'til he made it via social media. Shitty holster salesman in-chief.I know he’s somewhat of a “troll”/controversial figure but that skinny jean wearing Lucas Botkin (T-Rex Arms Guy) was xeeting the other day that he was supposedly “training his local swat team” or something
And he said that irons are dumb/gay and that the guys with red dots were just far more accurate and that they seemed to be more “intuitive” with their firearms. I wouldn’t know because I’m profoundly retarded and never sat down to figure out how to properly zero the red dot
find a seller of destructive devices that has one or more hand grenades for sale. complete the form 1 and other NFA transfer paperwork and wait for approval after submitting payment. you only need an ordinance magazine if you plan on keeping more than one, or the one you get approved of is a self-contained unit with detonator. if the detonator is stored separately, no magazine is needed. you do not need a FEL unless you are in the business of manufacturing, dealing with, importing/exporting explosives. This video has convinced me I need to legally acquire hand grenades for home defense. How do I go about legally doing this? Do I just need an approved explosive ordinance magazine, an explosives license, and some paperwork?
PDP compact. Better out of the box trigger than Glock. All slides ome precut for optics. In the process of getting my ID in my gay state. We have a 10 round mag limit.

If you're broke, it's better than no 1911. They at least offer it in the old GI setup, so even if fit and finish isn't the best, it still has that WW2 asthetic.Edit: While we're on 1911s what does this thread think of Rock Island?
Not bad. They tend to have enough clearance between parts which indicates it will actually work out of the box. You can get one with standard GI sights or even three dot. If you go a bit more expensive they have high-cap 9x19 and 10mm versions.Edit: While we're on 1911s what does this thread think of Rock Island?
You either get a fuckhuge tube or small and ugly. A good light built to specification is hard to find, which is whyvery ugly
...people build their own flashlights. They're simple to make and the components are available. The difficult part is the casing, but 3D printing helps with that.also what the hell do you mean "make your own flashlight"?
