slightly different mix of OEM parts geared to be better "out of the box" for some customers who might otherwise replace stock parts with aftermarket. the Edge is meant to be a lighter, entry-level competition weapon (lightweight profile barrel, enhanced trigger, et c) while the Victor is more of a patrol carbine with a few fancy options (flat faced trigger, free float handguard, et c).what is the difference between the Springfield Saint Victor and Saint Edge
i would guess a good market would be people that aren't ready to commit their rifle to a specific purpose and want to try something out without having a borderline useless rifle if they decide they don't like the sport or whatever. imagine trying to use a gamer gun as a patrol carbine or a stock patrol carbine in a ricer comp. at least with the Victor and Edge, you can pick either one and feel it out and if you don't like it, the rifle is still generic enough to be fairly adaptable to a wide array of purposes. even though the Edge is meant to compete, it's also a decent backpack gun or target shooter, while the Victor can probably be one or two part swaps away from an okay 3-gun rifle.
