Based and lever-pilled. I've heard that Rossi rifles are a bit gritty feeling, but that you can easily DIY improve them.I finally got myself a lever gat. Rossi 92 in 45lc

If the Herters is less then 3 years old it’s just Winchester white box with a different head stamp. Winchester has the contract to make all of the herters brand ammo.I am not sure if it will, we had trouble running Fiochi out of it but that was most likely the magazine being filthy causing the follower not to fully feed the round, or the gun itself not being as clean as it should have been despite me telling him to clean and oil it before we shot.
We also ran a box of Herters and those didn't give us trouble once despite me expecting them to be the worse of the two.
Thanks for the input at least never used magtech myself but the cost isn't bad
Don't overlook Sellier & Bellot; YMMV, but whenever I had an older euro handgun that was especially picky, S&B was usually one of the few that would cycle.I am not sure if it will, we had trouble running Fiochi out of it but that was most likely the magazine being filthy causing the follower not to fully feed the round, or the gun itself not being as clean as it should have been despite me telling him to clean and oil it before we shot.

I've run into a slight issue with my shoulder rig where the RMR kinda digs into my armpit or ribs, depending on the holster itself (i.e. molded to shroud the RMR). Otherwise, I have to cant the holster at a weird angle, drop it a little lower (closer to my waist); or shift it further front/back, instead of directly under my arm.Yeah. The RDS only adds a bit of bulk at or around the beltline in any IWB holster, while the butt is the part that prints.
If its picky and its the only thing you have that shoots 9mm I wouldnt buy 1000 rounds without first making sure it likes the ammo.Sorry to ask a potentially stupid question but I am overthinking it and it's causing me grief, should I get a 1000 round case of Magtech 115 grain for $300? or go with the Winchester at the same weight for $400? Not so much for my pistol but my brother in his infinite wisdom decided to get a Walther P-38 and that thing is picky with feeding it's ammo
Keep that man. A 22LR will still defend your ass, and not just that, it's family history. Cherish it, keep it clean. It's beautiful despite its use, and the weld job ain't bad
Tell me about it, I am still annoyed I gotta be the one to buy ammo for him or else he might buy +P Hollowpoints and blow that thing to pieces. If its picky and its the only thing you have that shoots 9mm I wouldnt buy 1000 rounds without first making sure it likes the ammo.
Also my jimmies are still rustled you cant fold AK stocks while you have a rail adapter attached.
just buy a box of a couple different brands and see how it goes. S&B works fairly well in most firearms i've used them with, along with PPU if you have an older 9mm from before 1950 or so.Tell me about it
Uuuunfortunately the .350 legend isn't available for the guns in question, but that's a very sobering set of images there, holy shit.I have 5.56 guns and refuse to get any .300 BLK ever. There is too much concern on dangerous combinations happening.

This why I hate .300 BLK and wonder why it was ever approved.
For suppressed shooting I use .350 legend. Close to the same mag capacity and 50-100gr heavier bullet.
Yeah, about the whole "getting more magazines" thing, Bruen has not yet come home to roost where I'm at so repurposing existing legally owned magazines is of high priority. I'd definitely run some colored electrical tape around the magazines loaded with .300blk though, the above more than convinces me of that.To add to this advice, marking your mags (either with paint or even something as simple as a colored rubber band), is also a not-terrible idea, especially since mags are still pretty cheap.
knew i kept this for a reason:very sobering set of images there
Any idea if that kaboom created a rearward traveling firing pin projectile? That's a pretty serious expansion.knew i kept this for a reason:
.300 blk in a "lower tier" 5.56 AR-15 where the magazines were mixed up unintentionally

it was mostly downward, destroying the magazine, blowing out the side of the receiver into a few large chunks.rearward traveling firing pin projectile
I don't see that being much of a concern, it's gotta make it out the carrier and then the receiver, if it had enough force to do that, then the entire thing would grenade and it'd make no difference.Any idea if that kaboom created a rearward traveling firing pin projectile? Not only, having the can blows all that extra shit back into the receiver. That's what happens when you don't properly clean a gun after using corrosive ammo.
I think the military still uses the corrosive primers because they are supposed to be more reliable in the absolutely abusive cold they could be subjected to.Not only, having the can blows all that extra shit back into the receiver.
And yet I thought Russia used non-corrosive ammo, at least for 7.62x39 and 5.45. Are they shooting 50's production ammo, and/or corrosive/old ammunition sent by their "allies"?
That would be hilarious, if the Chinese sent them tons of ammo that'll turn Russian AKs into rotted-out wrecks within a week, without Ivan stripping their AKs and boiling them in vats after every firefight (as was ideally done with their Mosins & machineguns in WW2).
Waiting on my tax stamp like a good sheep, but according to my research my 300 BLK pistol with a suppressor, using subsonic ammo, will give me 44 mag energy, with the only sound being the cycling. With 30 rounds in the mag, this will be my SHTF gun. The only downside is I had to buy special mags, as the heavier rounds didn't load properly in P mags.I have 5.56 guns and refuse to get any .300 BLK ever. That's corrosive to you. You could scrub that bitch clean of rust and the action should be good enough to go again, but I'm wondering how the bore is looking, it should be chromed, but how much bullshit can you throw at a chromed bore?A suppressed AKMS in Ukraine, after firing 4000rds in 8 days:

Yeah, that's probably how so much rust ended up back in the receiver. Not only, having the can blows all that extra shit back into the receiver.
If someone is rocking an old AKMS, I would not be surprised if they were also shooting ammo from old stockpiles. And yet I thought Russia used non-corrosive ammo, at least for 7.62x39 and 5.45. Are they shooting 50's production ammo, and/or corrosive/old ammunition sent by their "allies"?
I recall an anon on /k/ many years ago, who said he pissed down the bore of his 91/30 after shooting corrosive surplus through it, and that it apparently worked. But yeah, hot water kills the salts pretty easy.
Hekk, I bet you could piss on them then a quick rinse from your canteen and get the job done.
I would like to see that research, what I've heard from others is that they get somewhere around .45 Auto or a heavy projectile, non-Magnum load of .45 ColtWaiting on my tax stamp like a good sheep, but according to my research my 300 BLK pistol with a suppressor, using subsonic ammo, will give me 44 mag energy, with the only sound being the cycling.
I say this as a person who is iffy on having an 'shtf gun' and also kind of likes 300 Blackout:Waiting on my tax stamp like a good sheep, but according to my research my 300 BLK pistol with a suppressor, using subsonic ammo, will give me 44 mag energy, with the only sound being the cycling.
