@John Badman regarding slings, I prefer two-point slings for carbines, rifles, and full-size shotguns. When the weapon is long and on the heavier side I've found two-point slings keep the weapon closer to your body and more secure, so the weapon doesn't bounce around as much when you're moving, especially if you don't have hands on the weapon at that time to steady it. One-point slings are nice for shorter, lighter weight weapons like SBRs, PCCs, subguns, and SBSs.
My personal favorite sling is the TAB Gear Pinnacle Rifle Sling. It is simply the best sling I've ever used, and I've used a ton of slings. It is over-built like a fucking Iowa class battleship, is nice and wide to disperse the weight better and not dig into your neck and the top of your shoulder, and TAB offers quite a few options to configure it. I own two, a black one and an OD green one, both with Cobra Buckles to configure the sling or to quickly get free if you get snagged on something.
I plan on getting two more so that I have one on each of my defensive long guns. The reason I only have two right now is because they ain't cheap, especially if you get them configured with the Cobra buckles instead of the cheaper side-release buckles. I think they start at $120 and they're like $170 or something with the Cobra buckles, but I'm a big believer in quality over quantity and buy once, cry once. Especially when it comes to something I may have to trust my life or the lives of my family to.
