What format? I hope it's the Quake 3 format that Notch added in indev and then deleted immediately afterwards.
Lol I assume it'll be some bastardisation of JSON or something like their other custom model formats, but it would be cool in some situations
About a year, maybe two, back I stuck every behaviour pack, addon etc I could find that was like a traditional mod (this was before the recent FTB tinkers etc, it was all free and downloaded it externally), and then I hosted it on a bedrock server I could even join with my Xbox etc (using the proxy method on my android-phone). It was pretty cool. I know MS are such money grubbers they'd ever make that an option, especially free, and it didn't hold a candle to Java modpacks, but some of the tools they do make available (limited as they are) and even more so how they push the limits with these systems produce some really, Really cool stuff
I imagine most here are M+KB purists especially for Minecraft, but if have killed for like, Tekkit on cinsole back in the day even if I've always played Java.
There's a billion amazing avenues, ideas and work done by the community over the years that would have steered the game in such a better way, it's pretty sad really.
I'm sure Microsoft made their money back and then some hundreds of thousands of times over, and maybe that contributed to the dev attitude, we've got ours now, but man...
You guys are they made bedrock modding even harder than it has to be by no longer bundling the symbols and other shit in a file now? Notch promised a mod API (granted, he flipped between mods as we know them and server plugins many times back then but...) Since Alpha. How long has Dinnerbone been there, whose server fork Bukkit started the server plugin ecosystem (very primitive and not really plugins beforehand, more like hacks).... Like 14y?
Sigh, sigh, sigh. Not 100% where I was trailing off to at the end there a little lol but thanks for coming to my
TedTalk TedAutisticRant.
