Minecraft

To be fair to the bees, they were added in as extra content with the Buzzy Bees update while they were working on the more technical parts of the game.

What more would you guys want them to do anyway? Some more plant interaction could be cool, but they can't just copy the forestry mod's homework as that system is way too complex for vanilla.
I don't mind the small content updates, especially the trims, since I love small decorations and customizable parts like this. BUT if I were to add something - I'd say maybe some combat variety and\or dungeons (or generated structures that have a dungeon function). My best memories of Minecraft were made while playing through Twilight Forest (and some other mods I can't remember, sadly) with a couple of friends, since there was a nice balance of bumming around the base (making a big ass farm always made my autism glands feel nice) and going out on big adventures and finding some new structures where we can brutally murder whatever is inside and steal anything that isn't nailed down, so it would be really interesting to see what the devs can do when they have so much stuff to shamelessly steal get inspired by. They gave us bits and pieces of it, but a whole FIGHTDEATHMURDERPILLAGE update would be neat

Well, we know that such an update is on the horizon seeing as Jeb's been working on improving the game's combat through the combat snapshots.

You know what would be awesome: A Java port to Steam with integrated workshop mod/shader/resource pack support
Like that's going to happen. The game has had it's own website for years. I don't know what would need to happen for them to port Java edition to Steam.

Maybe more sales IG. It would be minimal effort for a game that sells like hotcakes with each new release.

It's finally here fellas!

Here's the article links:

MultiMC devs have decided that there's no point in making proper stable releases and instead they made it so that you have a development version as default and all the updates are just whatever the fuck it is the devs did on the Git repo and push it directly as an update :story:
I kind of clocked out with the Multimc debacle. What the hell is going on over there?

Does anyone know an alternative to Spartan Weaponry ?
there really isn't, epic knights isn't that varied.

curseforge would ree
microsoft would ree
jeb would ree
not happening.

also, a couple of minutes ago some niggers got both /mcg/ and /mccg/ threads deleted because of constant soybooru spamming, jannies banned about half the posters and one can expect that minecraft's generals to slow down a little.

Why Jeb? He's already sharing some of minecraft's profits with Microsoft, Steam would just be more of the same.

Besides, Jeb strikes me as one of the more chill people that works on game anyway (probably because he was around as long as Notch has).

Jeb was always a bit of a control freak in comparison to notch's carefreeness, there isn't any public reason as to why MC is in steam though.

when browsing for mods i ended up laughing, why?

Update on the pack:

Rest in Piss, Abyssal Depths. Sea creatures were cool, but the framerate drop it created was not.

I've been slowly reducing the amount of content mods, while putting in more QoL/client side mods. No industrial mods (I've seen too much autism to imagine a server with these), although a couple of the redstone mods I've added will allow people to make a vanilla like industrial setup. I added Inspirations to compliment Quark and Charm. The only mod I am considering yeeting at the presence is Vibrant Journeys, due to possible (??) performance reasons. I also got rid of Crayfish's mods, and added Adventure backpacks.

Weapons wise, Spartan is staying. I'm not adding the shields mod though, as some mechanics are kinda gay. As for Flans, one of my acquaintances has promised to hand me over things that aren't public (I'm talking old/private content made for servers).

However, the biggest change I wish to make to the modpack concerns armor. I want to make regular Flans armor and the armor of Varied Commodities available as Custom Item Textures in a ressource pack, instead of taking up space as mods.

No industrial mods
Any interest I could've had in the modpack: gone.

Then again tech mods will run like shit if you have a weak CPU, and that's client side. The more complex your factory gets, the more resource demanding it will get to run the game. I used to have 100% CPU utilization and constant freeze-ups on my old CPU on a singleplayer factory world. After switching to a newer CPU, all of that was gone and all the worlds ran smoothly.
