Minecraft

They've totally broken the utility of ender pearls randomly in the latest snap shot and made them very vaguely directional chorus friit
What the fuck? Why would they ever change it? This has to be a bug, why would you completely ruin an item's functionality on purpose like this? They clearly want to change it in some way for whatever reason but fucked up so bad, what are they doing over there? I wonder if they use Snapshots to train interns with little to no coding experience...they both broke it and made it useless while also making it so you can practically escape any and all PVP situations since if you coordinates are high enough you can teleport to the other side of the world. And I've seen retards completely support and approve of the direction Minecraft is going. These are the same people who probably hate Notch for isms, support the marketplace, play only on Bedrock, have wilds misconceptions on mods, the list goes on.
I'm just here to say, holy shit the Minecraft movie looks like shit. It's about as bad as I imagined it.
I really wanted to believe the leaks were fake but I knew in my heart they were real. :story:
Fancy seeing you here Bob, still doing God's work I take it? Jokes aside, yeah it looks fucking awful. It's clearly just a tax write-off while trying to yoink as much money from the Minecraft fanbase as possible like the Mario movie.
Microsoft and current Mojang are cancer, but thy got nout to do with your nice girl lol.
I do feel bad for him occasionally, but this shit is just...lol. "Why do good girls like normal guys?"
I'm so tempted sometimes to power level a little about an OG (more or less anyway) mojagster I used to know from staffing a game hacking forum, but most of the history isn't ginna be that interesting here to most unless I do a big thread on the game itself, but they didn't do much of note other than some software/apps they made, and the fact they've forum staff.
Do it, share with us. Should be interesting considering your other ramble post was.
Now that I have your attention, I would like to let you know that I have been doing some small improvments on my castle
I did not expect this from you and I'm glad to have been surprised so hard I choked on my Coffee. As for the serious screenshots, well fucking done. It could be the Rimworld in my but I'd say that the throne room is a bit...all over the place. A barracks I assume and a smithy I assume? If you want something to make it not feel empty you could probably put a big ass "table" lined with "chairs" with decorations and whatnot. Unless of course that's the point, to have the King or whoever sits the throne to have a close eye on things. Some carpet leading to and around the throne room would be better than just the wood I think, purple would be nice. Can't really think or say of much else, you're a better builder than I'll ever be and I'm not exactly in your world to get the best view.
This part though, wooooooooo man I have no criticisms about this.

like the Mario movie.
I mean, I actually liked the Mario movie, it could have been way worse. Watched it with younger relatives and I didn't hate it like I expected to.

The Minecraft movie just looks like dogshit from the outset. I and probably everyone else can probably guess what the plot is going to be before the movie even releases just from how utterly cliche it looks.

The Mob Vote is kill.
Thank god.

Thank fuck.
"Hey guys here's 3 updates we have planned out for different parts of the game. Just be careful because we won't implement the others after implanting the winner they'll just be thrown into the void"
And the votes are usually:
Thing we actually want to add with mechanics
Stupid thing no one wants
Stupid thing no one wants

The Mob Vote is kill.
Thank god.

Microsoft finally went to Mojang office to celebrate the minecraft movie announcement, only to be horrified by the hundreds of thousands of dollars a day being burned to produce a ten textures and a few lines of code.

Side story, I'm late on this news but a fun fact I just learned is that the developer of Immersive Engineering fucking HATES the original dev of Railcraft. Why? Muh homophobia
image_2024-09-10_000511586.png

Oh wow Blu, I wonder why he didn't realize he was the bad guy.
So no compatibility support with railcraft.

But wait, Railcraft has a new dev since CovertJaguar is mostly inactive. Surely that changes things?

Nope, because the modding community has to be made up of absolute fucking spergs who act like fucking java code can be tainted by the evil republicans. I've noticed small things that didn't mesh well between IE and RC and it pisses me off that this is the reason we don't get cooperation between two big old guard tech mods.

Who gives a shit about politics of the dev, its a silly little train mod in the silly little block game, it doesn't FUCKING MATTER

Since it was said often enough, I'll shorten it. Coders are more often than not autistic, pretty much all trannies are autists, trannies love shoving politics where it doesn't belong, trannies are not tolerable to even their own ilk if said ilk has even a slightly different opinion. It's not a matter of if but when a mod gets polluted with this tripe. BluSunrize fits all these tropes so it was doomed from the start. I mentioned how someone on /mmcg/ had their server brick itself because of Immersive Engineering (Blu's mod) because an update added so much LGBT faggotry that was so impossibly unoptimized that it broke people's servers, that's how hard they'll shove politics into their game, to the point where breaking shit might be intentional. Thankfully there's mods that can-with enough time and patience-can easily solve both the Railcraft/IE political incompatibility nonsense and remove the LGBT faggotry. Oh, did I also mention the "PlusTiC" incident? Doesn't even have to be politics, they could just not like you one or two things about you and boom they're going to war with you. And there's a few other examples in this thread already, it really sucks but thankfully is ignorable...usually. I've seen a number of mods from other games go through this same "it's incompatible because muh politics are incompatible with theirs" such as what was mentioned on the Starsector thread, it is inevidible.

Shit like this is all the more reason to keep paid mods from ever being a thing.

Even then dumb shit like a fat retard making one tweet means we get "Stupid things no one wants" anyway

Mooblooms are adorable and so are the buttercups, they would at least add something new to the game even if small; glow sacs are useless bloat whose purpose could (should) have been given to glowdust.
Honestly, I would have loved if the Mooblooms worked with Bees in order to increase their production.

We really need less items that only exist for a single purpose.

Shits up your inventory with how many of those single purpose items exist.

Item management in Minecraft pisses me off. Why can I not just trash items from my inventory? Why do we still have the same amount of inventory slots and stack limits for a decade despite copper blocks alone have 8 fucking version of each item?!

I still think gating backpacks behind killing the ender dragon is the most pants-on-head retarded thing Mojang has done. They keep adding endless amounts of new items and blocks to the overworld and the nether and for some reason they think i shouldn't be able to up my inventory size until after I beat the game. It makes zero fucking sense.

Personally I had a different (if slightly more autistic) way of going about backpacks:
Blueprints
In a similar way to how upgrade/trim templates spawned in a particular structure chest, you can find blueprints in these same chests. You can't craft whats on the blueprints from the start. But apon obtaining the blueprint you unlock a crafting recipie permanantly and you can give someone the recipie by just giving them the blueprint item. They can be gatekept depending on where you place them, For example: Backpacks in strongholds, Grapling hook in Villages, Builders wands (or something of similar/greater power) in the end city's and maybe even a couple of weapon blueprints scattered around.
I think with the trial chambers, Mojang missed a perfect oppertunity to add some sort of legendary weapons/tools/armour to the game. Something with unique Enchants that can't be changed. Like a pickaxe with an increased range enchant or a leech life enchant on a sword or an unbreakable enchant of a hoe.
Theres probably a mod already for these but I couldn't care to find it
Thank you for listning to my TED talk

I've always thought to just leave something akin to small space upgrades around the world.
Have it so the player can find it anywhere, but make it rare, one-time use only, and either prohibitively expensive to craft or just cannot be crafted, period. Maybe have it get lost on death too so its not some permanent upgrade, though I'm not sure on that.
it would incentivize people to go exploring, and I think it would scale decently well with a users' time spent in a world as well.
