So, when I was a little kid, I saw this movie: http://www.movietriggers.com/movies/1965

And something about it just really bothered me, to the point where I felt shitty for days afterwards. I still haven't figured out what it was. I know it wasn't any of the things they have listed. To me, this points out the problem with trigger warnings that go beyond really common things relating to common causes of actual PTSD (like rape, etc.): people pick out bizarre things to add trigger warnings for because potentially anything and everything can be really upsetting for reasons that even the person affected might not be clear on. Encountering things like that is an experience that is literally impossible to eliminate from your life because it's so unpredictable.

I know what you mean about it making you feel shitty for days afterwards. I think Iron Giant was the first movie I ever saw that actually got an emotional response out of me. I mean, it was far from a trigger, but I did feel emotional after seeing it. I'm pretty sure that was the intention of the movie, though.

It is strange they gloss over the cruelty to a basically learning disabled gentle robot, or his heroic suicide even if the end shows he survived. I'm surprised there isn't a trigger for war mongering because the government's only solution was to kill it. Yeah it is a movie that can make you feel, definitely a childhood favorite.

"Grief and Loss" actually happened in Up, and for what it was worth, was handled pretty believably (flying houses non withstanding). What I don't get is how something offscreen triggers you, since that kind of thing is usually either mentioned in passing or only implied. If something happened onscreen, I would give them a little leeway, with emphasis on little.

It isn't mentioned in the movie and you have to watch it a second time before you notice it being implied. That is quite the stretch to go, just be triggered.

There are actually an alternative color for lions that is white. Not albino either. Their natural fur color is very very pale. Imagine the shit that would be flying if Simba and the rest of the pride were all white lions. Ignoring the fact that all of the female lions have really super pale fur....

I think it might be referring to the miscarriage hinted at in the opening montage. To be fair, said montage manages to get really sad really fast, but that's kind of the whole point of it: the audience is shown the series of events that turned the main character into the bitter old man we see at the outset of the story.
