It is interesting to me that Nader both didn’t show for court and has exhibited at least a minor trepidation about the whole thing. Compared to his reaction over the Chantal allegations, he assuredly is taking this more seriously, and while one could chalk that up to knowing Chantal was full of it - isn’t Mae, also, according to him?

I also find the recent recordings of DeeDee to be fucking sad. It’s sad that a grown adult woman with her own condo, long term job and stable friendships - all signs pointing to at least a modicum of intelligence - would relate in conversation how she didn’t want him there permanently, and complaining a bit about how things were…then poof! Suddenly they’re dating and all is well, and he considers it his house, too!

It’s deserved and all that, letting him in at all was a terrible mistake, but it’s still sad.

This is my confusion with the video leaks where he says if God hadn’t taken Delphine he would have for putting him in prison and if Chantal did he’d kill her too and DeeDee but nowhere on this list was Mae who was also taking legal action against him.

So, I don't want to open the "believe all women" debate here, so I'll start out by saying that Mae doesn't seem particularly credible for a number of reasons. I think the big question here is not whether they fucked, but whether it was consensual.

That said, she could have DNA evidence. Remember Monica Lewinsky's dress? And if she had injuries, those would still be detectable a few days after the (alleged) assault. We did see her sitting on a peepad a few days after she was back in the US. And yes, I know, haha old lady is crazy and pees herself, but rape victims often experience trauma that can lead to temporary (or even permanent) incontinence. If she showed up to a hospital in the states with significant trauma and semen stains on the clothes she'd been wearing, that's some pretty good evidence right there. And for the courts in Canada to proceed with the case, it has to be pretty compelling evidence. I hate to be that gorl, but the vast, VAST majority of SA cases never make it as far as this already has. I think many complaints have been made about Nader that have not proceeded, but that he's known to the cops and Crown, and they are motivated to nail him for whatever they can at this point just to get him off the street. If Mae's case is their best shot at getting him behind bars (and ultimately, out of the country) then they will throw everything they have at it.

It's not that I believe Mae when she says she was raped. It's that I DON'T believe Nader when he says he DIDN'T rape her.

From his point of view, I'm guessing that DD, Chantal, and (presumedly) Delphine all professed to love him and/or had some type of close relationship with him. If any of those three would be the catalyst that put him behind bars again, he would see it as the ultimate betrayal and he'd boil over.
Mae on the other hand--was just a quick fuck to him. She's not even a blip on his radar...even now.

And honestly, if anyone deserves to be falsely imprisoned, it’s Nader, so I don’t even give a shit really lol. He’s committed enough dangerous crimes, I don’t care what he gets nailed for. I was just curious about that one detail the other poster mentioned regarding, “finding semen inside her”, because I’d never heard of that tidbit until then and I wanted to know if it actually came from somewhere or if it’s just an assumption or misinterpretation.
