No clue--after Nader confirmed that he wasn't in court yesterday I commented that instead of deflecting by shit talking Monty that he should contact the court to find out whether or not an arrest warrant was actually issued but of course my comment was deleted so fuck him. He'll do what he always does and pretend nothing's happened/nothing's wrong/dindunuffin.

A bench warrant (or Quebec equivalent) was issued when he failed to appear. However, it was immediately stayed pending his appearance at the Oct 12 date. If he doesn't appear then, they'll get him for both failures to appear. If he does appear at the next one, they'll let this one go. The judge decided to move on to the next appearance (the next stage of the case) rather than reschedule this one. She actually seemed to be pretty over it.
Such is my understanding, anyway. My French ain't great and I am not a lawfag.

Unless I've missed something, I don't think it's been officially confirmed that this trial has anything to do with Mae. That seems to be the assumption (and it's a reasonable one) but other than Mae (who I remind you is certifiable) kinda sorta saying that yeah, this is her case happening and giving us "updates" that make no sense, I don't think we really know anything about why he's in court right now.
